The goal of the deck is twofold: In the early game, drop 2-3 mana rocks so that I can continue to cast my spells after Zo-Zu hits the board. With that done, I play off my opponent's lack of mana, I can blast their lands with things like Raze or Stone Rain to cause a mana shortage forcing them to play lands and take damage, use Eidolon of the Great Revel to hit them just for playing cards, and Blood Moon to punish anyone not running a healthy amount of basics.

For my own buildup of lands, I can use discard effects like Tormenting Voice or Sparkspitter to toss out the lands I can't use.

In the late game, I can finish opponents off with the mana I've built up with Fireball or Red Sun's Zenith.
