That's correct, the "hunted" tokens won't trigger Zedruu's ability. I run them simply for the group-hug aspect, when someone is getting ganged up on or to curry some political favor.

the tokens produced by creatures such as Hunted Lammasu don't belong to you anymore, I mean you don't "own" them. Tokens are owned by the player under which control they come into play.
