Why not use Zendikar right up to the rotation on September 30? I'm tired of seeing post-rotation decks rule this website like Zendikar's gone or it's been outclassed.

On Saturday, September 17, my local shop is holding a Standard tournament and the first-place prize is a playset of Force of Will, with the top 8 all getting at least a fat-pack of the set of their choice. Needless to say, I had to up the ante with my Mono-ish. Now, the main strategy is using Summoning Trap to dive head-first into Iona, Shield of Emeria, Platinum Emperion (because I can), and (best-case scenario) Terastodon on turn-3 for an instant game-over.

Terastodon is still one of the the best (if not thee best) Green fatty in Standard. If you can hit him with a Summoning Trap on the third turn and blow up your opponent's lands, there's absolutely, 100% no coming back from that. Game 2?
