Deck based around using Zacama, Primal Calamity's ETB and to play red x spells or huge creatures.The deck breaks down into 3 stages:

  • Ramp: Its important to ramp quickly to start playing out the decks draw engine before a control player has time to lock the table down.

  • Set up: Trickier than it sounds. Make sure that only the only mana doublers that you play have minimal to no benefit to the rest of the table.

  • Combo: Easy part. More likely than not, this means killing the board with an x spell.

This stage of the game breaks down in 2 focuses- finding mana doublers for the combo- playing cards that protect the combo/ increase it's lethality

The Mana Doublers

  • Mana Flare and Zhur-Taa Ancient: These should almost always only be cast when already comboing as extra gas.

  • Keeper of Progenitus and Vernal Bloom: Be aware of the board state when resolving these. Unlike the previous doublers, this gives no benefit to blue, your biggest threat. Its important to make sure you don't put another player to far ahead, but allowing opponents to create more threats for a control player to deal with can be good for you as they will spend more time dealing with another player allowing you to build your combo.

  • Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger: The Praetor of big shit holds a special place in the deck as acceleration and disruption. His ability to keep opponents locked out of the game is deadly and should be used even if you don't plan on comboing off in the near future as even one rotation around the table is enough to win games.

  • Regal Behemoth, Mana Reflection, and Mirari's Wake: Basic one sided mana doubling.

Lethality

  • Gisela, Blade of Goldnight: She halves the amount of damage needed to kill a player and can remove the need to heal to stop from dying.

  • Shaman of Forgotten Ways: Biorhythm on a dork. Usually just heavily damages the board, but combos with Zacama's ability to kill creatures. This guy can come out of nowhere and should always be kept in-mind.

Combo-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Combo Steps1) Tap all your lands and float a truck ton of mana.2) Use some of that mana to cast Zacama, Primal Calamity, untapping your lands.3) Use a sac outlet to put Zacama back in the command zone.4) Repeat until you have enough mana to kill the table and keep yourself alive.

You need three things to get the combo off:1) an x spell2) sacrifice outletExecuting the combo does not require an x spell in hand because of the crazy amount of draw.
