Sideboard

"What are you playing tonight?"

"Your deck."

Feedback request:

I feel like the deck is too easy to trample in the early game. I'm contemplating switching some things out for mainboarded Essence Scatters but am unsure of what would be best to switch. I know the deck is very heavy on 3-drops. I've seen some decklists where there might only be one of each creature and a great deal more control. I'm contemplating this but it seems like it would make my deck very easy to stop with spot removal. It would, however, almost guarantee that my Supreme Verdicts land very favorably for me.

I'm still fairly new to the control scene. I've played this a couple of times and have been a little overwhelmed at the degree to which I have to be on top of my game at all times. It's intense but exhilarating!

Breakdown:

Early game control with counterspells and tempo. Dissolve for scry, Psychic Strike to start filling their graveyard in preparation of Psychic Intrusion or, if I'm very lucky, Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver's ultimate. Azorius Charm to bounce attackers, possibly setting up a killer +2 from Ashiok. Thoughtseize to begin shutting them down early and possibly giving Lazav, Dimir Mastermind something to change into.

Mid-game catchup and begin stealing. Daxos of Meletis does both of these things. Nightveil Specter begins to grab a few things. Chromatic Lantern ideally comes out so I can cast them. Jace, Architect of Thought can stem the flow of incoming damage and provides either some card draw or, if left alone, my pick of their deck in the late game. Hopefully Ashiok is still bulking up and can safely begin to grab creatures for me. If JAoT is unavailable, Jace, Memory Adept can give me some card advantage and/or fill up graveyards for a Psychic Intrusion. Lazav should have become something useful by this point. Sphinx's Revelation stabilizes and fills my hand. Supreme Verdict equalizes board presence, except hopefully Ashiok can quickly turn the tide in my favor.

Late game, attacking with their best creatures or my own: Lord of the Void or AEtherling. Planeswalker ultimates, if possible.
