Have you considered Remand or Fabricate?

The card draw is nice, and the Fabricate can be used to pull Paradise Mantle and grant a reshuffle off of Brainstorm if it doesn't pull the options you wanted.

I don't know why but the thought of adding Remand never even crossed my mind and it probably wouldn't have if it wasn't for your suggestion. It will definitely be part of my counter magic revision which I am actively working on. As for Fabricate I have been dabbling with varies forms of deck thinning/tutoring for some time now and I will be adding this card to that list of candidates. Thank you for the great suggestions, I'll be sure to credit you for Remand in my counter magic revision.

Another that crossed my mind, Serum Visions in place of Brainstorm could possibly accelerate your chances to draw the cards needed for combo because of the scrying, although the brainstorm would give you an option for more variation in changing your hand selection. Maybe try Tangle Wire too instead of Stasis? I'm not as crazy about Fabricate playing with it more...

One more idea, maybe Chandra, the Firebrand? She'll be able to duplicate card draw or a spell counter using her -2 ability, or alternatively you can use her -6 to tick dmg off your opponent or help board wipe if you happen to lock in the infinite counter before finding Ral Zarek.
