The core of the deck is based of M.O.S.T. a transformation of an ancient relic.

Merieke Ri Berit + Opposition + Survival of the Fittest + Tradewind Rider

In it's core this was a creature based midrange control deck that used 'silver-bullets' to gain board control. Fauna Shaman basically replaced Survival and the creature base changed mostly with new creatures.

Imho Fauna Shaman is an underrated card in Legacy.

For this version I cut the blue cards mostly for budget reason. Cards like Meddling Mage and Leovold, Emissary of Trest are really good, but Tropical Island and Tundra is not cheap. Offcourse this deck can replace those cards with 'shock' duals for budget reason aswell.

In this version we explore the card Yawgmoth, Thran Physician . The card works really well in a creature based deck. Altough it is unclear yet to how to further tune and modify the list to maximize it's synergy. The deck plays cards like Eternal Witness , Renegade Rallier and Kitchen Finks to gain mot benefit from the ability of Yawgmoth, while not being dead without Yawgmoth. The same goes for Stoneforge Mystic , where Batterskull and Umezawa's Jitte migitate the lifeloss and Jitte also helps donating -1/-1 counters to our opponents creatures. In the deck we also run a Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons to futher exploit Yawgmoth's ability.

Finally there are some hatebears like Scavenging Ooze or utlity/beaters like Knight of the Reliquary that can be abused by Quirion Ranger or Scryb Ranger and generate massive mana quickly with a Gaea's Cradle or simple loop Knight into fetchland into forest/plains to grow and swing in with knight.

There is a lot of design space in this archetype. The core is:
