Mana Base, Artifact Control, and Cheating Fatties —July 9, 2019
Removed Inkmoth Nexus and Command Beacon for Arcane Lighthouse and Vesuva. These two lands just were not preforming or fell into the category of win more. Removed Gate to Phyrexia for Phyrexian Tribute. I want to test it out this way. Gate to Phyrexia was being destroyed quite quickly before it could be used on my next upkeep. With the play testing of the two big fatties Razaketh, the Foulblooded and Vilis, Broker of Blood a heavier reanimation package was needed. Thus, the swapping out of Ogre Slumlord for Phyrexian Delver and Genesis Chamber for Entomb. I swapped out Archfiend of Ifnir for Razaketh, the Foulblooded. In my current version Grave Titan and Phyrexian Scriptures have been replaced with Vilis, Broker of Blood and Scheming Symmetry.
Considering taking out Hangarback Walker for Buried Alive

Oh my lord Awaken the Erstwhile looks cool. How has it been performing for you?

It's pretty much a dead card. I'm going to be cutting it for Strands of Night or Buried Alive . When I draw it, I just discard it.

Removed Awaken the Erstwhile for Buried Alive . This should be much more functional.

Well, how competitive of a deck are you brewing here? If you're going to attempt to create a hyper speed combo deck you'll need to trim you average CMC down. There are other obvious cuts if you're speeding up and cutting flak. Most of the time 6 cmc should flat out change the boardstate or win you the game, like Grave Titan, can probably be removed in lieu of more effective tutors or removal, right? Unless you're infinite looping him for creatures, in which case there are lower mana investment cards of this style.
It looks pretty spiffy though I like where it's going

After much more testing this deck is where I want it to be. There is still room for improvement, but I am not going to spend the big money to acquire the more expensive ramp and tutors. I have a pretty combo heavy high powered meta full of explosive decks and heavy interaction. Yawgmoth has held his own and won in some extremely grindy games, where everyone is destroying the board state for everyone. This deck is a monster in grind.

Entertaining a Bolas's Citadel and Insidious Dreams combo synergy to get the engine out extremely quickly.

how often do you find yourself going for the infect win through Ichor Rats ?
I'm playing a very similar list and hardly ever go for the second ability at all. It seems to be more about drawing as many cards as possible to find combo pieces for me, so i've decided to cut the rats for another piece for the Phyrexian Altar + Pawn of Ulamog + Reassembling Skeleton combo or some undying creature maybe.
really love all the reanimation in the deck. going to implement this.

I've done the infect win maybe around 20% of the time. It's been enough that it justifies the card. Inkmoth Nexus tho doesn't really help. When I've threatened with that poison counter I ended up using Ichor to get the whole table.

Picked up Scheming Symmetry and Vilis, Broker of Blood at the pre-release. Will begin playtesting tomorrow.

I have found Necropotence to pretty much be a dead card. I'm not excited to draw it and I end up using it as discard fodder or for Chrome Mox . Replaced with Gate to Phyrexia , which should preform quite well.
