A little backstory After such a long time I feel this deck deserves an update. I started building this deck nearly 4 years ago, My first year into magic the gathering and wanting to develop a deck myself with no infinite combos and not try to be the target of the game. I would be the first one out in a game mostly because I would try and win with rooftop storm combo in my Grimgrin, The Corpseborn deck which was my first deck. So I decided to go mono black voltron with a card I had discovered while organizing my local game store's inventory.

The deck itself This deck is extremely straightforward which can be its greatest strength and its greatest weakness. There's a wide variety of different equipment into making Xiahou Dun the beefcake he is, and with cards like phyresis and tainted strike it only shortens that path even further.

The deck can be surprisingly pillow fort as well with means like Silent Arbiter, Crawlspace, and the old Contamination + Bitterblossom synergy. I tend not to try and lock people out of their mana unless the game has already accelerated to the point where mono black simply can not deal with blue's counterspells or the massive amount of mana my green players at the lgs can build up.

Mana doubling is also one of this deck's forte's. With crypt ghast, cabal coffers and any lands clones coupled up with doubling cube it is easy to go for an exsanguinate win as well. I've brewed a special little combo I do intend on using in the near future, but first I need to get a foil or masterpiece paradox engine. And the great thing is this combo only works with Xiahou Dun here. Let me know what you all think, and I always enjoy suggestions as long as you cans uiggest what to take out and why.
