With Xenagos, punching others in the face and asking questions later is the battlecry! It's always been a favorite of mines because it doesn't require much thinking, just smashing. The hulk envies the brute force Xenagos exploits in this deck. I digress, here is the breakdown of this deck:

Sol Ring: no question addition because I'm not French.

Elixir of Immortality: reloading against board wipes.

Dolmen Gate: A perfect artifact to protect these beasts from any damage taken.

Hammer of Purphoros: a basic haste provider. 2nd ability rarely used.

Elvish Mystic, Llanowar Elves, Voyaging Satyr, Zhur-Taa Druid: mana dorks FTW!

Wood Elves: Ramping those lands!

Fierce Empath: I'm looking a fattie and this guy helps a brotha out!

Reclamation Sage: a big help to remove the endless list of annoying artifacts and enchantments out there.

Shaman of Forgotten Ways: mana production for creatures plus a possible win-condition.

Champion of Lambholt: an amazing way to stop the opponent from ever blocking. I'll take it!

Genesis Hydra: putting all mana ramped in this deck to good use. In addition, there is a possibly of putting out a non-permanent. Winning!

Hooded Hydra: from +1/+1 counters to 1/1 snake tokens. AWESOME!

Polukranos, World Eater: the giant, big ugly sniper, taking out all the weaklings of the opponent.

Surrak, the Hunt Caller: conditional haste to compliment the general, in addition to being a 5/4.

Yeva, Nature's Herald: Why not give the majority of the creatures in the deck flash?

Ogre Battledriver: another great way to grant haste to creatures in this deck.

Acidic Slime: EDH staple in any green deck.

Arashi, the Sky Asunder: an anti-flying fatty!

Kalonian Hydra: needs no further explanation.

Whisperwood Elemental: helpful against wrath spells.

Deus of Calamity: land destruction.

Soul of New Phyrexia: provides indestructibly which is important in a deck like this one.

Bane of Progress: engulfs artifacts and enchantment to only get stronger by doing so.

Hydra Broodmaster: creates a large army of baby hydras and is also a 7/7 for 6 CMC.

Soul of the Harvest: draw power for green.

Homura, Human Ascendant: "go ahead and blow up the board, I dare you!"

Terra Stomper: A straight incounterable beater!

Avenger of Zendikar: a powerful token producer that can get out of hand if land drops happen consistently.

Giant Adephage: A copying beater with trample that can be ugly teamed with Xenagos on the board.

Dragonlord Atarka: a pinger and beater all in one. Trample and being a dragon is just gravy.

Balefire Dragon: a great way to wipe an opponents board.

Terastodon: another staple of green based EDH.

Craterhoof Behemoth: the definition of a stampede. This 8 drop doesn't play and is a straight game winner.

Courser of Kruphix: a powerful ramp tool. Not as strong in EDH, but useful nonetheless.

Nylea, God of the Hunt and Purphoros, God of the Forge: I had to do it!

Aggravated Assault: a must in a Gruul deck!

Fires of Yavimaya: haste!

Asceticism: hexproof and regeneration for all these creatures. FTW!!!!

In the Web of War: Ogre Battledriver in Enchantment form.

Mana Reflection: Doubling the mana that any permanent this deck makes is always a plus!

Bear Umbra: I attack with this creature for more mana please!
