Sideboard

Welcome to my Weenie Monument brew! I've had much success in testing against the wide-open field that is M19 Standard, and the deck is a blast to play. The deck can grind and grind and grind with the newfound help of Mentor of the Meek and Militia Bugler.

So far, the trickiest matchup I've encountered is one you may expect, RDW featuring Goblin Chainwhirler. That said, the deck can rebuild after board wipes so quickly that our win percentage is 50%/50% so far. We can often create so much value, card advantage and board presence that we can grind until they're fresh out of cards.

Regarding our defensive spells and sideboard, we have the PERFECT graveyard hate card in Remorseful Cleric in our SB, which can be found by Militia Bugler, allowing us to heavily disrupt GY decks like God-Pharaoh's Gift. We have both main-deck and sideboard artifact/enchantment hate in Thopter Arrest and Fragmentize. We can deal with big creatures fairly reliably with our enchantment-based removal like Seal Away, Cast Out, Skywhaler's Shot, as well as our boardwipes in Settle the Wreckage and Fumigate. Overall, being in white and blue gives us excellent flexibility, allowing us to fine-tune our 75 to react to the meta you're playing in.

By the way, every single creature in the 75 can be found by Militia Bugler. I can confidently say there is no better home for it than this deck.

Mentor of the Meek is also triggered by every single creature in the deck, including our Oketra's Monument tokens, allowing us to draw a MILLION cards throughout the game.

Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants does an incredible job of helping us finish the game, as well as grind, by buffing our life-linking flyers and vigilant creatures out of range of Sweltering Suns or Goblin Chainwhirler. His ability to return our 2-drops from the graveyard to the battlefield can provide some excellent value.

Speaking of 2-drops, we have two tricky creatures that provide both early and late game aggression.. Aviary Mechanic and Cavalry Drillmaster. There is no way to describe the feel of buffing our flyers with +2/+0 thanks to Drillmaster (for 1 mana with Oketra's Monument in play!) we can then pick it up with Mechanic for 1 more mana to buff AGAIN! All the while we're creating vigilant Warrior tokens and drawing cards with Mentor of the Meek. Additionally, picking up our Cloudblazer's and Militia Bugler's provides amazing card advantage and selection that I guarantee will tickle your fancy!

Knight of Grace is an exceptional curve-filling 2-drop for us, giving us some G1 play against removal heavy black decks. The 4th copy is waiting in the sideboard to come assist us further. The card can virtually win us games we'd otherwise have no business winning pre-sideboard. I don't believe there's a better 2-drop to top off the slots, however he's more or less filling what would be a flex slot.

In playing white we have access to plentiful removal for all situations, including artifact removal and boardwipes. The blue splash gives us access to Negate and Commit / Memory to deal with permanents we don't want to hit the board, such as Chandra, Torch of Defiance and other walkers, as well as hexproof permanents like Carnage Tyrant that are hard to deal with otherwise.

Our land-base is pretty straight forward. We have Irrigated Farmland to prevent flooding. Glacial Fortress to give us plenty of blue sources for our Negates and Cloudblazers. We have 4x Shefet Dunes, allowing us to buff our army for a game-winning attack. The rest consists of some beautiful Plains!

All in all, this deck is crazy fun, crazy flexible and chock-full of grind and early game aggression! I highly recommend you give it a whirl! To top it all off, it's also not too painful for your wallet!

I hope you enjoy!
