This is WU Mechanized Investigation.

This deck was originally from MTGGoldfish Against the Odds: Mechanized Production (Standard) back in February 2017, just around Aether Revolt release. SaffronOlive made a deck built around Mechanized Production and Clue Token creation to win the game. https://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/against-the-odds-mechanized-production-standard I have attached a link to the deck tech and games if you wish to see it.

Well since then, we have had Amonkhet come out with new WU cycle lands Irrigated Farmland and an amazing token generator with Anointed Procession. I decided to update the deck and try it out at my local game store Standard FNM. The deck worked out amazingly well as no one had any artifact and enchantment removal. It helped me sweep in to a 3rd place finish and surprised all my competitors.

If you have not watched the videos yet, this is how the deck works. Mechanized Production is your win condition. You are to get 8 or more of the same artifact onto the battlefield by upkeep of your turn. The artifact you are using are Clues. Enchant the Clue token and Mechanized Production makes a copy of it at your upkeep. If you have 8 or more, you win. If you don't continue playing. The clues also help with card draw when you are stuck for spells that help you make clues. Those cards are Thraben Inspector, Press for Answers, Jace's Scrutiny , Confirm Suspicions, Tamiyo's Journal. Now this is great that you are making clues, but how do you pay for the mana cost for all of these? You can use Inspiring Statuary. It gives all your "Non-artifact" spells Improvise. This way you can use you collection of clues to help pay for colorless mana and save your colored mana for the colored mana in your spell. This is where the fun begins.

Using the extra mana from the clues, you can now cheat out bigger spells like Confirm Suspicions and Mechanized Production easily and also you can create one of your alternate win condition cards extremely easily by paying for the "Awaken" cost of Part the Waterveil. Not only do you get a 6/6 land elemental creature, but you also get another turn right after. You can play Part the Waterveil for it's awaken cost or just play it for its regular cost to finish off that 8th clue you need to win. You can also use Tamiyo's Journal to sack 3 clues and search up your next trick in your deck without having to reveal it to your opponent.

The new cards that I added to the deck, Anointed Procession and Irrigated Farmland, help with doubling your clue count quicker and, if you become mana flooded, cycle out Irrigated Farmland and get an extra card draw. Win-win situation.

As for the Sideboard. Fumigate is for those matches against Zombies or anything creature heavy for an easy board wipe, especially since you are not a creature deck yourself. Quarantine Field is also a controlling board wipe to get rid of anything slowing you down or hitting you hard. Use the clues to help create those extra counters. Negate and Metallic Rebuke are extra counter spells. Last is Metallurgic Summonings is an interesting enchantment that creates a creature board state for all those instants and sorceries you play. They're good for those matches where you opponent is not creature heavy either like UR Control decks. These can also help with paying for spells with Inspiring Statuary.
