Lazav, the cruel and merciless

Commander / EDH Mill UB (Dimir)

Reidfrmn92

Maybeboard

Second EDH deck. Wanted to try a Dimir mill theme and went with Wrexial to utilize others graveyards. Maybeboard is full of more utility and mill cards, but I want to play test the main deck to see how vulnerable I will be to other strats. So far I have a heavy mill theme with support cards here and there. Any tips or deck advice is much appreciated!

Due to his high CMC, Wrexial, the Risen Deep became much less a solid commander card and was more of a one time use card due to the huge target on his head. With my mill package and other support cards I felt like he would suit my deck in the 99 rather than the commander.

I have since replaced him with Lazav, Dimir Mastermind. Cheaper, hexproof and always giving me value instead on only when dealt combat damage. He can support my deck much better due to the fact that I can get him out earlier and start using his ability more often.

Will play test Lazav, Dimir Mastermind, but next in line is going to be Phenax, God of Deception then The Scarab God when my pre-order comes in. Loving the Amonkhet series right now and think this new god will make my deck very strong.
