Wrath of Prossh

Commander / EDH

Aphiel1

So very short story Prossh was the first commander I ever used and was essentially the creature that I first utilized in commander I have grown much as a player especially an EDH player since then but I still like Prossh. What do I like about him? He brings deceptively complex strategies despite that he is so simple.

The basic styling of the deck is based on Prossh's mechanic of summoning kobolds based on his CMC and turning those minions into utility such as set up for combos, fodder, and ammo for control aspects; your win condition vary on infinite damage and summon loops in combo with etb effect and massive aggro strategy.

I still feel this deck is a work in progress and could use some refining so any tips are welcome just keep it civil and try not suggest super over priced cards I will consider it even if it above a price range I'm willing to pay but it's likely that if it's not in my current price range I won't or rather can't make the exchange to quickly. I feel most of the combos are self explanatory but if their are any questions about why a card is in the deck feel free to ask and I will at least try and justify it.

Updates Add

Given the suggestions in the comments and what I had at hand and was within my price range I went ahead and adjusted the deck as such in a way I found more desirable.

One notable change was that with BFZ having hit I removed Fecundity which is a very common card in most Jund and sac based decks and replaced it with Smothering Abomination. The reasoning behind this is that Fecundity has the nasty habit of sometimes helping your opponent out especially when you drop mass field wipe which is a bad thing and makes it a situational play whereas Smothering Abomination can only ever benefit you and since even in the case of Fecundity where your draw power was coming from sacing your creatures Smothering Abomination is not only specific enough to the task but doesn't even give your opponents the benefits. You loose out on a few chances to draw and it does have the disadvantage of being a creature but overall I feel it is a safer and more beneficial choice.

I also felt the need to include Zulaport Cutthroat since he entered the rotation. This card is hands down amazing in Prossh for a 2 drop especially in multiplayer games. He is a little better and a little worse than Blood Artist. Better in that he hits everybody and bypasses targeting and worse only in that he can only trigger on your creature's death. I debated just flat out replacing Blood Artist for him but settled to keep them both. I am fickle though and when their are better cards to enter my deck Blood Arist might be on the chopping block.

I'd also note that despite how good Chromatic Lantern is, it is also currently on the chopping block for a more powerful ramp card but I am currently letting the deck play out before I decide whether or not this will negatively impact the deck.

In the future I intend to include a sideboard but to realistically explain what it'd look like just targeted spot remover and more field wipe for when I fight decks that have things that need to go swiftly and without question and can't be dealt with by "patience".
