This deck came about from wanting to build a spell-heavy deck but without it falling heavily into the blue of the colour pie. It aims to use Wort's original two tokens to generate a whole bunch more wee tokens that will copy additional spells. We want to get the most value for our mana, so most spells will generate at least 2 creatures.

Notable Cards

  • Manamorphose and Explore both let us gain a little advantage with mana, but also cantrip and, if copied, turn into 2cmc draw 2

  • Treetop Village and Ghitu Encampment can both be turned into creatures if we're having problems to give us some extra conspire creatures.

Token Producers

  • Dragon Broodmother while not fitting the casting theme, but it does give us R/G tokens that can overrun opponents if they're not careful
  • Goblinslide turns every non-creature spell into a token spawner for one extra mana thanks to this, it fits amazingly in this deck!
  • Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury can be removal on a stick, or creatures that can generate mana, OR creatures that can tap into spells. This is a great planeswalker.
  • Xenagos, the Reveler can produce lots of mana, or if we're low on creatures, can generate GR tokens.

  • Howl of the Horde, Reverberate, Radiate, Wild Ricochet mean we can copy the spell with conspire, Cast the duplicate spell, and copy the duplicate with conspire, doubling up any of our casts. Clan Defiance + Howl of the Horde can blow out an opponent.

  • Blastfire Bolt allows equipment removal if it's a problem, or just standard creature removal otherwise. Instant speed, which makes it better over Turn to Slag

  • Burn Away gives us strong graveyard removal in red/green, or again just as creature removal.
  • Back to Nature instant speed blow out enchantments for very cheap.

  • Life's Legacy - since the sac is part of the cost, copying it will draw double the original sacced creature.

  • Browbeat - Will either force someone to take a lump of damage, or will allow us to refill our hands.

  • Sphinx-Bone Wand will slowly tick up in this deck and, if left unchecked, will end games

  • Overwhelming Stampede, if copied with some cheap creatures, will pump our creatures up large and can blow out games before people can realise.

Testing Out

  • Ruby Medallion & Emerald Medallion ; with the sweet new C14 art it's a struggle to keep these out of decks; I want to see how they work and with the mana reduction feel it'll be decent in the long term.
  • Cobra Trap can generate a large number of tokens, is instant speed, and can be cast for cheap, but it is a mediocre spell~
  • Incite Rebellion - want to see how this plays out, but feel it could blow someone out of the game if they've got a full field. Particularly good if someone's sitting with an Avacyn, Angel of Hope as we can double it up to do more damage to them.
  • Wave of Vitriol want to see how this plays out - purposely kept our non-basic land count quite low to allow us to use this when it plays in our favour. May consider adding back in From the Ashes too if this plays okay
