I have played Wort over a year. When I first started it was a spell ramp and nonbasic land destruction deck with lots of spells. Over the year it evolved into goodstuff deck. The games I played had a common theme: if I got my ramp I won and if I didn't get my ramp I durdled. Playing nonbasic land destruction made me a target. It seems what wins is win conditions from nowhere, or one turn combos. This deck makes value creation through Tokens & Conspire, but over the year my strategy became diluted by good stuff and the deck became hit or miss. So now I have retooled the deck to remove non-basic land destruction and focus on a win condition. and I am putting in a strategy to get me there. So getting there means:

  1. Ramping like crazy. Well Wort is a 6 mana general and the game is going to be over by turn 6-8. I am upping the ante: I use to run 6 spell ramps, now I have added 5 artifact ramps and 1 enchantment ramp. I need to get Wort out by turn 4. Super ramp with Boundless Realms or Paradox Engine.

  2. Breed tokens like rabbits! with the following: Krenko, Mob Boss hasted with Goblins on the field, Avenger of Zendikar with a decent amount of land in play, Dragon Broodmother, Dragonlair Spider, Verdant Force, or just double your tokens with Second Harvest

  3. Assembling the combo creatures with the tutor spells Chord of Calling, Primal Command or Time of Need. The enchantment Defense of the Heart works well too!

  4. Combo off for the win

The close:

  1. Tutor into Purphoros, God of the Forge and Avenger of Zendikar .
  2. Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Seeker of Skybreak with the aid of Paradox Engine and any spell to untap the millions of seeker tokens created.
  3. Earthcraft and Squirrel Nest into Final Fortune for win by tokens the next turn.
  4. Already have a lot tokens? Might of the Masses targeting Zada, Hedron Grinder
  5. Already have a lot tokens? Craterhoof Behemoth and swing
  6. Earthcraft/Paradox Engine/Cryptolith can make a lot of mana! (See Comet Storm)
