So I have some ideas for this Pod deck and I'm determined to make it a damn good one...or at least a decent one for the price I'm willing to put into it. I know it's probably not top of the line, but still...I like how it's ended up. The ability to attack from several different angles is one I love and it makes the deck unpredictable and hard to play against (although also rather difficult to pilot). Also it can go infinite with any of the three infinite combos by turn 4. This isn't particularly common, but is an awesome feeling

No Linvala or Noble Hierarch, I'm splurging to track down a Kiki and VoR. 50 for one card is currently just too much :P and 70...I'll just hope for a reprint or twelve

Win Cons:

Thundermaw Hellkite especially with some Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Thundermaw Hellkite action to get an extra dragon for a turn...every turn. This completely shuts down any blockers in the air, and I personally can't think of anything that sees modern play and has reach

Hound of Griselbrand + Kessig Wolf Run This is the ideal situation, but it can do some damage tacked onto any creature (which I have quite a bit of)

Gavony Township capable of boosting my dinky little army of mana dorks and saprolings into a very real threat

Infinite Life (then just throw creatures at them until you get 20 damage through), Kitchen Finks + Melira, Sylvok Outcast + Viscera Seer . Against scapeshift, burn, and anyone who can't go infinite this is an auto-win

Infinite Non-Combat Damage Melira, Sylvok Outcast + Murderous Redcap + Viscera Seer . Also note that the infinite scry from above can let you put Muderous Redcap on top of your library

Infinite Combat Damage Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Restoration Angel

Artifacts:

Birthing Pod-Just keep reading

Instants and Sorceries:

Go for the Throat-Basic removal, there's enough affinity hate in the sideboard via Kataki, War's Wage, Ancient Grudge, and Reclamation Sage that this is perfectly acceptable as my only hard removal

Land:

Kessig Wolf Run-Especially if you can target a Hound of Griselbrand, my go-to beatstick Thundermaw Hellkite is also a good target because flying and trample is basically unblockable in my book (the exception that comes to mind is Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, which breaks a lot of rules anyways...like how creatures aren't allowed to decimate my battlefield just by looking at me funny, or even how they shouldn't warp time merely by existing, or even the unwritten rule simply stating that giant floating islands with tentacles are not allowed to play magic).

Gavony Township and Vault of the Archangel-Just testing them out to see how useful they are and how many colorless lands I can get away with. My deck tends to spit out more creatures than most pod variants so I feel that Gavony Township is particularly useful

Creatures (the heavy stuff):

Elvish Mystic, Avacyn's Pilgrim, Elves of Deep Shadow, and Birds of Paradise-Budget mana ramp, those birds do some real work if I try to hardcast Kiki or go infinite on turn four. If the any of the Elves could make red I'd really be happy (it seems likely, especially with some crazy three color stuff going on with Khans)

Viscera Seer-Essential combo piece, can lead to an infinite on turn four. Is a three-of to increase this and just to draw because it's difficult to pod into (you may have noticed I don't run Chord of Calling for budget reasons). However there are a good number of creatures that create tokens in one way or another so it's not impossible to pod to

Voice of Resurgence-Worst case scenario leaves behind a 1/1 with potential to grow, if nothing else than be podded away for Viscera Seer. Is also a pain in the butt for control and is kind of awesome at least all the time...in addition to being a $20 card

Melira, Sylvok Outcast-Combo piece, if not then just a Bear Cub

Black Cat-Decent Pod victim, may or may not be replaced. But I need two drops for my pod chain, would be entirely replaced by VoR if I could get enough of them

Eternal Witness-Doesn't need much of an explanation, in between steps on the pod chain and sick ETB ability

Kitchen Finks-Value creature and combo piece

Hound of Griselbrand-Double pod or decent enough board presence post pod victimization. Great for grabbing Thundermaw and Kiki (which is in itself a terrifying combination). Also is disgusting with Kessig Wolf Run

Murderous Redcap-Combo piece and decent value creature. Also good for a double pod activation

Reveillark-Doesn't even need to be podded away (can't anyways) cause if they don't kill it they take four a turn. When they do kill it it can get back combo pieces, "plain" old value creatures, Hound of Griselbrand (which is occasionally a win con), or Eternal Witness for all kinda shenanigans

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker-Combo piece or doubling value creatures, or just awesome things like Thundermaw

Thundermaw Hellkite-Has proven to be a simply amazing finisher. Very aggressive because it's a turn quicker to pod into than Wurmcoil Engine or a Titan. Also because my four drops can be podded twice than next turn I can grab Kiki and swing with two of them, which turns into a quick 15 damage. And if I haven't done five damage before than I've got bigger probs, especially considering I've seen people do things like fetch a shockland to Thoughtsieze someone turn 1
