This is an updated for Dominaria version of Izzet God Pharoh's Gift.

First and foremost, Skirk Prospector replaces Bomat Courier. Why? Bomat is good, but Skirk allows you to get mana ASAP and a creature in the graveyard. He's a one shot Llanowar elf. He can also be brought out at the same time with a Fanatical Firebrand. Swing for one on the Firebrand, and then blow him up with the Skirk. Then you'll kill the skirk. Two extra red mana in your pool.

Hitting the Combat Celebrant and God-Pharaoh's Gift trick is still the main theme here. I've removed the Minister of Inquiries b/c I think with the addition of Skirk Prospector we're speeding up the creature death rate big time. I also hate milling myself and hitting something I need for the combo; artifacts namely. I've added in four Merfolk Trickster because she's essentially a strong, strong, player. When she interacts with Naban, Dean of Iteration just watch out. Naban, Dean of Iteration also interacts VERY well with Champion of Wits. It is nuts card draw. I've left in two Warkite Marauder for utility and also kept in the Walking Ballista for removal. That combo of the Ballista and Marauder for one-hit-killing threats is still juicy. Do that on top of using Merfolk Trickster to get insane interactions. Vizier of Many Faces still sticks around as a great four drop that makes another of anything you need at any time; even if its a board threat. Aether Hub is done now that we got Sulfur Falls and the rest of the check lands. I've left in Ipnu Rivulet to have some emergency milling in there. Trophy Mage allows you to stack up copies of Gate to the Afterlife when it interacts with Naban, Dean of Iteration. If Naban was not legendary I'd have a four set of him around, but two is good to go. He's very powerful.

Moving to the sideboard, Dominaria gives us great counterspell action. Lets use it. Syncopate and Wizard's Retort are great additions. You get real deal Counterspell action again! Goblin Chainwhirler takes care of those decks that just don't know when to stop crapping 1 toughness monsters. Curator's Ward takes the place of Padeem, Consul of Innovation because its not only cheaper, and you only really need to protect your God-Pharaoh's Gift. Wizard's Lightning in the board allows you some focused one mana damage.
