Gaea's Herald instead of vexing shusher? +1 anyway.

jazzarazza Thanks so much for taking a look! While Gaea's Herald is great for creature spells and playability, Vexing Shusher makes it so "target spell" can't be countered so if they attempt to counter a Doubling Season or a Genesis Wave all I have to do is pay one easy mana and they wasted a counterspell :)

I appreciate the comment and +1!

Avenger of Zendikar + Craterhoof Behemoth is a game ended when you cast Tooth and Nail.

DEN is also a must have if you have Thragtusk in. Combos are pretty essential in a RUG deck. Are you talking about infinite combos? Or just gross combos?

Thank you all for the comments! I've been waiting a long time for people to notice the deck. I appreciate all the help :)

Peanut3181 I've been looking for a Deadeye Navigator everywhere but no one is willing to trade me or sell it. I suppose I should just get it online lol.

shaftdiggity those are excellent suggestions! I appreciate them and will definitely put them in when I can find the cards. It is a really fun deck :)

InfiniteParadoX it is definitely waaaaay too powerful in multiplayer! I will replace it with Tooth and Nail when I can get the card.

I will suggest you Palinchron, it's infinite mana with Riku of Two Reflections or Deadeye Navigator, then first draw creature you find it's infinite draw and hi Purphoros, God of the Forge GG!!! Farhaven Elf put a land tapped but not oly Forest like Wood Elves.....bha.... You don't have too few creatures so you may play Opposition, i love this card, if you put it next to Seedborn Muse you can't lose. Me too, in Animar, Soul of Elements played Garruk, Caller of Beasts but i run it for Domri Rade but it depends where you play.... never considered Mercurial Chemister? more easy to play than Arcanis the Omnipotent, draw 2 cards it's true but fire on the creatures.these are opinions, i like the deck idea dont get me wrong!

I second adding Palinchron to the deck. It's essentially a one-card combo with Riku on the field, allowing you to generate infinite mana.

Also, since you're already running Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, you should for sure add in Zealous Conscripts or one of the other ten creatures that allows you to go infinite with him. This is what a lot of stronger Riku decks do. Their strategy is usually to cast Tooth and Nail, defense of the heart, or even Chord of Calling and win with an infinite pair.

Also, you need to increase the number of mana dorks. Elvish Mystic and its two clones, Arbor Elf, Bloom Tender, Lotus Cobra, and Birds of Paradise, are all well worth their spots. Bloom Tender is especially good, as it enables a few infinite combos with Deadeye Navigator.

Cut down on the number of legendary creatures. They're severely undervalued in Riku decks for obvious reasons. Add Consecrated Sphinx. It typically leads to a win the following turn, especially if you manage to make a token of it.

So I took out a lot of the cards I didn't think I needed. Mainly counterspies and the likes of that. I put in some cool creatures that should work well with Riku. More card draw as well. The deck lost some monetary value but it should be stronger against other players. I finally got a Deadeye Navigator. Trying to refind a Palinchron (I traded my first one for a fat pack... oops). Trying to get a Tooth and Nail. Still very open to suggestions. I appreciate anything and everything. Even critique!!

Thanks :)

I also played with my friend and was able to copy Woodland Wanderer while having Doubling Season out and that was really fun

Hi Ravock, by now I began to follow you deck, why you play Woodland Wanderer?? 4mana for a 5/5?? and if your friend copyed it is only a 2/2 becouse it don't take the counters +1/+1. Anyway i have noticed one thing... where is your Sylvan Library??

DVLuca Thank you so much for following! When I said copied I meant with Riku of Two Reflections. So I had a Doubling Season out which meant I had three Woodland Wanderers with 6 +1/+1 counters each and with vigilance and trample it was just an awesome combo. Basically I run it cuz it's fun :)

As for the Sylvan Library I have never heard of it, but I will keep my eyes out for it and add it in if I can find one!

Turnabout

Incredibly versatile and powerful. Some uses:Tap all their creatures on their turn, making them unable to attack, and open for attack on your turn.Tap all their lands on their turn, limiting their ability to cast spells.Tap all their artifacts. Meh...Untap all your creatures on their turn. Surprise! I have blockers.Untap all your lands, significantly magnifying your mana production late game. Mana x2 minus 4. Even more if you have two in your hand.Untap all your artifacts. Some decks might like that, otherwise, meh.

So, Fog, Silence, Vitalize, Mana x2 -4, a better Blinkmoth Infusion, or a better Metal Fatigue. Your choice.

Plus you can copy it with riku. OP

Nice riku deck you got there :D

My suggestions would be Proteus Staff to get more value of your token creatures for 3 mana and it kinda works like a poor removal in the worst case Flash is also an extremely powerful card in riku decks, since you get to "cheat" out a big fatty for 2 (you'll get the option to pay the mana cost with a reduction up to 2) and then clone it with riku for added value. Also See the Unwritten is just stupidly fun with riku. :D

Oh I almost forgot, Flameshadow Conjuring is also good

tembel: Thank you! I appreciate the support. I input Proteus Staff and See the Unwritten as I believe they are immensely powerful. (Except Proteus Staff can't work as removal as you said because it can only be activated at sorcery speed. I saw that when I bought the card. Still great though!)

As for Flash I won't be putting it into the deck because I am trying to lessen my needs on instants and non-permanent spells. I have Alchemist's Refuge to cast more than just creatures at instant speed, and if I need to consider more cards that allow that ability I will use Vedalken Orrery.

I do like Flameshadow Conjuring but I think paying extra is a small loss of tempo and Riku does the same thing. Dual Nature allows me to get a token for free and my haste enablers like Urabrask the Hidden and Ogre Battledriver allow me to attack immediately with the tokens. The downside of Dual Nature is that my opponents get extra tokens too, but I think it's really fun that way, and I still have the advantage of extra tokens from Riku of Two Reflections and Doubling Season.

Again, thank you for commenting!
