MILL HAS NEVER BEEN SO UNIQUE
Mill has almost always been a deck throughout magic's history, however, I am here with a different interpretation of mill, based around drawing cards. We win with
Sphinx's Tutelage
and
Psychic Corrosion
. Let's not forget our good old
Fraying Sanity
Now, while nearly everything in our deck is drawing cards, we shouldn't have to worry about not drawing a tutelage or corrosion.
CARD CHOICES
Now, I have some weird card choices that might leave you wondering things. Like
Oona's Grace
a 3 mana draw one card? well this is an important card because it can let us close out the game at instant speed if were about to die. Lets say for example, were at 4 life. We have a tutelage or two out, and someone
Boros Charm
s to the face. Also, this can work if someone
Abrupt Decay
s our tutelage, or is swinging for lethal (things we can't counter). Most of our card draw is instant speed, just shy of
Serum Visions
. We now can respond by casting some god old instant speed draw cards to mil our opponent more than we already have, like
Visions of Beyond
. ideally this will draw them to 0 cards. Then we are faced with "how do I make them draw so they die?". and that my friend, is where
Oona's Grace
comes in.
Everything else is pretty straight forward. We run
Remand
s over better counters because they draw us cards.
Surgical Extraction
s because it hits cards like
Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
with the trigger on the stack.
SIDEBOARD CHOICES
Grafdigger's Cage
is our grave hate for decks like dredge that play out of their graveyard.
Ratchet Bomb
is our budget
Engineered Explosives
.
Sorcerous Spyglass
is
Pithing Needle
except we get to see their hand.
Spellskite
is there for decks like infect and boggles.
Thing in the Ice
and
Chasm Skulker
are there for go wide creature match ups like humans and spirits.
NOW LET'S GET MILLING
