of stuff like that, including tutors, that's great as well. This is a more budgeted version of my previous mill builds, with the most expensive components being
Glimpse the Unthinkable
at around £14 (that's $19 for Americans), and the leylines. However, the leylines are much cheaper than the
Snapcaster Mage
s they replaced. I have excluded the more costly cards, those being a playset of
Snapcaster Mage
and
Oboro, Palace in the Clouds
. They are not vital to the deck's structure, hence why I have removed them, but are useful utility if you've just cast an
Archive Trap
and want to finish your opponent, and
Oboro, Palace in the Clouds
is quite useful for when you've got a few
Hedron Crab
s out; it can bounce itself and you can play it for your land drop. Not for mana acceleration, just a sidekick to the already nice
Hedron Crab
s. Instead, I've replaced them with normal lands, and I've replaced
Snapcaster Mage
with an
Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver
,
Ob Nixilis, Unshackled
and two leylines:
Leyline of Sanctity
and
Leyline of Anticipation
. They are, like
Snapcaster Mage
, utility. I had a hand once where I draw all 3 in my starting hand. On opponent conceded turn one when I cast a plains, she played a 1 drop, I
Path to Exile
d it and then cast an
Archive Trap
. The others all fell to
Fraying Sanity
and
Glimpse the Unthinkable
. It was fun.
Disclaimer: be careful when casting
Bojuka Bog
when on a low life total, as if you do go critical, you won't have an escape route via
Crypt Incursion
, which is the only saviour in the deck.
Anyway, if you're looking for some upgrades, I would recommend taking out the leyines for a playset of
Snapcaster Mage
s, replacing some basics with
Drowned Catacomb
and
Oboro, Palace in the Clouds
, adding in a couple
Surgical Extraction
s to make sure they don't get their wincons, and maybe adding a couple of
Mesmeric Orb
s for that extra touch.
