One of my favorite decks. The point of the deck is to get Xantcha out early for sometimes decent damage and set up for everybody to use her ability later. Otherwise you just smile and watch everybody kill each other. A few incremental or mass discard spells can make a mean but effective way of ensuring one of these things happen. See Sire Of Insanity and Angrath, the Flame-Chained. Goad effects and political cards takes care of the other. Sow chaos and violence in the realm by passing around the monarch with cards like Custodi Lich or forcing combat situations with something like Disrupt Decorum. Goad really is your best friend in this deck, but we also have access to a few pillow fort cards in Rakdos colors for when you can't channel the aggression or need more help doing so. No Mercy and Crawlspace to name a few. In a perfect world, you want to bide your time and appear as a nonthreat for as long as possible. In the meantime, ramp yourself and use Xantcha's ability a few times. Then you can start dropping group slug cards like Painful Quandary. Encourage or outright force opponents to fight each other to keep them off your back while you continue to drop group slug pieces. Ideally, you want to "borrow" or remove the opponent's armies altogether once they pose a real threat to you. Insurrection or any board wipe will do this. Usually, you can profit off these creature deaths with an increase in mana, targeted damage or life drain. See cards like Black Market or Bloodchief Ascension. When the dust settles and you have hopefully bought enough time for yourself, your opponents should be broken, weak, knee deep in blood and low on life. If that isn't the case, you have some strictly meaner methods of getting there with cards like Captive Audience or Head Games. Now you can win the game with something like an x spell or repeated activations of Xantcha. You should have a hearty amount of mana by now if you adequately stalled or profited enough from the violence. That's it really. Ramp, goad, pillow fort, group slug and be rewarded for causing pain and death. With a Rakdos colored commander at your side, as long as you burn, bleed and enjoy, you have already won.
