One of my buddies has a Sidisi, Brood Tyrant self-mill and a Melek, Izzet Paragon storm deck, so when I first saw Kess, Dissident Mage spoiled I had the idea to basically mash his two concepts together and run a spell-based (albeit not storm) self-mill deck. This is the most "powered up" of the decks I own and the only combo deck I run, but it features some more casual & fun & inexpensive cards, so isn't maxed out by any means (nor is it trying to be).

Game Plan

This deck has two modes:

MODE I: Mill/draw/discard your deck and win from Laboratory Maniac, Thassa's Oracle, or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. Easiest with Doomsday, Demonic Consultation, or Painter's Servant + Grindstone. The lines and piles are pretty contingent on what your board and hand look like so I won't get into it here, but there are tons of videos on how to play around these cards online.

MODE II: I guess you can also mill your opponents? I don't usually do this unless I've already embarrassed them earlier in the evening with combo wins.

Future Changes

Regarding banned cards, my playgroup plays Mox Sapphire, Tolarian Academy, Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, Griselbrand, Primeval Titan, & Balance, so I'm not too worried about including them if I ever do.
