My version of thopters with strong burn and counter spell cards. With ensoul artifact out of standard I've found ghostfire blade to be a decent replacement since it only costs 1 mana to play and 1 to equip to your thopters and hangarbacks. I also love the fact that if your opponent kills off your ghostfire equipped creature you can just equip another.

Another strong combo is impact tremors combined with whirler rogue, pia and even thopter spy network allowing for unblockable / uncounterable damage with your counterspells.

FNM 12/25/15 3-0-1A few weeks before new set comes out decided to test out the deck at fnm it went very well going 2-0 every round except for the third which was a 1-1 vsing the owner of the store, we were on final match and ran out of time (mostly due to him taking forever with all his fetchlands).1st) Played a red white aggro / zada combo deck I just countered his zada and then whatever other combo he was trying to do and beat him. He seemed kind of new.2nd) Faced a U/R/B dragons deck who was far more difficult to handle because of his thunderbreak regents and icefalls3rd) Faced the owner 1st game I have trouble drawing lands but was still a very close game. 2nd game I stomped him.4th) Faced a RDW deck just sided in some extra burn, taking out some counters just to survive the early game and beat him to death with flyers
