Budget Modern Esper Spirit Tribal Deck. For the most part a flying aggro deck. Lets see what these cards do:
Creatures:
Drogskol Captain: Spirit Lord that grants our creatures hexproof. Auto-Include.
Uninvited Geist
: Transform this ASAP. If you do its a 3/3 unblockable. Very fast clock.
Bygone Bishop: Card advantage on a stick. Every creature in this deck has converted mana cost 3 or less.
Mausoleum Wanderer: Early attacker that can counter a variety of spells such as Path to Exile or Fatal Push or Emrakul, the Aeons Torn late game (assuming they tap out).
Spell Queller: A counter spell that makes a creature. Very good card.
Selfless Spirit: A spirit that makes our board survive board-wipes. Very good.
Azorius Herald: Unblockable spirit that gains us life and triggers Bygone Bishop. Very good card.
Sorceries:
Lingering Souls: Makes more spirits that can attack quickly. Not to mention it has flashback.
Instants:
Go for the Throat: Best removal spell in the deck. Destroy non-Platinum Angel creatures. Versus affinity, sideboard in Doom Blade instead.
Lands:
Arcane Sanctum: Tap for any color of mana in the deck. Very good. Downside is it enters the battlefield tapped.
Basics: 7 Island, 7 Plains, 6 Swamp. Black is our least needed color.
Sideboard:
Doom Blade: Swap out Go for the Throat with this versus affinity.
Disenchant: Artifact and enchantment removal. Good against affinty and other artifact-matters decks.
Tidehollow Sculler: Hand Disruption on a stick.
Negate: A decent counter spell versus turns.
Ghostly Prison: Against heavy aggro decks, this slows them down a lot.
