Maybeboard

Artifact (1)

My take on Zo-Zu the Punisher EDH!

Well, my endeavor for Stax in every color combination (Yes, this is really a mission now), technically starts here. The most valuable resource for players is mana. The second most valuable resource is life. I want to attack both of those resources putting players in a very hard spot by choosing when to play lands, with things like Tectonic Instability, repedately wiping the board, limiting when they can feasibly cast spells, and punishing them for doing things that they would normally do anything.

Snow-Covered Mountain: Snow-Covered because they are more fun, and sometimes I can benefit off of others' Extraplanar Lens.

Strip Mine: Best Land in the game tbh

Ghost Quarter: Decks that I face run very few basics, this is essentially a Strip Mine if the game goes long enough

Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle: For random pings and lols

Dwarven Blastminer: Mixed feelings. Mainly here for repeatable nonbasic land destruction

Dwarven Driller: Mana or Life, which takes the hit? I dislike giving the opponent the choice though, but its still a good card

Dwarven Miner: Yes. Just yes.

Embermaw Hellion: Turns lands into Lightning Bolts with Zo-zu out

Harsh Mentor: Really hurts utility lands, can punish greedy manabases with a ton of things going on

Invader Parasite: Really meh on this card. It's always a land destruction spell, but sometimes it's a Zo-zu effect if I hit the right basic

Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs: I've heard this be called the red Propaganda, I think that's about right.

Keldon Firebombers: Likely destroys a ton of lands in a go. Really punishes multicolor decks

Mine Layer: Great piece of politics. If you don't attack me, maybe I won't make your land useless...

Obsidian Fireheart: Same as Mine Layer

Orcish Settlers: Same as Mine Layer

Rampaging Ferocidon: Hurts token decks, also players not being able to gain life is very relevant

Silent Arbiter: I really don't like things that attack me, so lets just not go wide

Stigma Lasher: Again, players not being able to gain life is very relevant

Stoneshaker Shaman: Punishes players for holding up countermagic/instant speed responses

Tunnel Ignus: I want to punish ramp very hard, so this is the perfect card

Blood Moon: More nonbasic land hate

Blood Sun: More utility land hate

Burning Earth: Manabarbs #2

Citadel of Pain: Punishes players for holding up countermagic/instant speed responses

Furnace of Rath: I don't feel like I need to explain this

Impending Disaster: Do you play lands now or do you wait, hindering yourself to maintain the board?

Leyline of Punishment: Did I mention that players not being able to gain life is very relevant?

Manabarbs: Punishes players for playing spells

Price of Glory: Punishes players for holding up countermagic/instant speed responses

Repercussion: Combos with our damage-based boardwipes

Smoke: Keeps mana dorks tapped down, also can keep big things from swinging in

Spellshock: Punishes players for playing spells, may as well be Manabarbs #3

Stranglehold: Shuts off tutors and fetches

Sulfuric Vortex: Keeps steady damage going, also, the whole thing about life gain being prevented

Tectonic Instability: Keeps players on their toes about when to play lands

War's Toll: Um... I don't know what to say about this card, it just does so much, keeps our opponents tapped out on all fronts

Ankh of Mishra: Commander #2

Crawlspace: I don't want things swinging in, lowering my life total more

Crucible of Worlds: Must keep Strip Mineing

Cursed Totem: Doesn't harm me much, does stop so many things from my opponents

Mana Web: Hell with things like Price of Glory

Null Rod: The reason why there's no mana ramp, also it stops artifact combos like The Chain Veil

Storm Cauldron: Really insane with Zo-zu out

Winter Orb: More punishment for doing things players naturally want to do

Acidic Soil: As if lands being played didn't hurt enough

Blasphemous Act: Boardwipe

Chain Reaction: Boardwipe

Decree of Annihilation: Big-Daddy Boardwipe

Destructive Force: Land control+Pseudo boardwipe

Epicenter: Landwipe

From the Ashes: Really punishes greedy manabases

Gamble: Usually gets me what I need

Lava Blister: Land or essentially 3 land drops

Obliterate: Big-Daddy Boardwipe

Ruination: More nonbasic hate, its really a problem

Star of Extinction: Gets rid of Gaea's Cradle, and wipes your fatties

Tectonic Break: Landwipe

Thoughts of Ruin: Landwipe

Wheel of Fortune: The one draw spell. The best I have access to, and really the only one I need

Wildfire: Land control+Pseudo boardwipe

Fork: For the lolz with Acidic Soil or Price of Progress

Lavaball Trap: Again, punishes heavy land ramp

Price of Progress: Hates on greedy manabases hard

Pyroblast/Red Elemental Blast: Good protection to our shtuff

Reverberate: Read Fork

Starstorm: More boardwipes

Volcanic Offering: Really great because this can never backfire on me

Well, that's it! If you enjoyed, don't forget to +1!!

Thanks guys!
