The goal of this deck is to be a psudeo control. It has plenty of opportunities to defend itself with Minotaur synergy, as well as play offensively at the same time. A lack of flying creatures is present for good reason, why defend against a large flying creature when you can just take it?

Zedruu himself is more of a utility than a commander. The deck can function without him, but works better with him. The maximum I would expect to be traded is 10 permanents, at which speed you will kill yourself at a moderate pace. This burning respite can be a Molotov is used correctly, as although you may not want to exchange permanats, give them Zedru and your opponents have no choice, laughing as the clearly goat creature masquerades itself as a Minotaur.
