Perusing old decks, updated this one a bit. Swapped in Brave the Elements Elspeth, Knight-Errant and Sigiled Paladin because reasons. Still fun to play this at the kitchen table, especially with the new planeswalker and knight, hoo boy. I'm only allowed to us this deck in every other game.

Hate to say it but cloudshift will not rescue your guys from a board wipe. Faith's shield is fine and so is rootborn defenses. However the stack screws ya when it comes to cloudshift. They play Day of Judgement, you respond with cloudshift on the stack, the cloudshift resolves first, then your guy gets exiled and comes back, then Day of judgement resolves which equals a dead guy. Cloudshift does let your guys dodge spot removal however.

@3mouse It wouldn't, would it? Oh well, like you said, it is good for dodging. Plus Rootborn Defenses shows up enough to where I need fear no damage to my dudes. As well as the shield, it lets me get a guy through when I feel like just doing damage. It's too bad this all goes to pot in a year, I liked working with exalted.

Also your land count is a little low it seems, you could add 2 cathedral of war. Or a couple of the vault of the archangel. I know it kind of goes against what your doing swinging with one guy but the lifegain could be relevant.

I did run 2 of the cathedrals, but they became irrelevant when I could draw 2 or 3 cards per turn, and play at least 2 creatures. The mana curve is a scant 2, with the most expensive thing being the Archangel, then Rootborn defenses, Nighthawk and Mentor... I'll probably keep 1 land on hand when I play at least, cathedral comes in tapped so it only slowed me down, and with all the exalted creatures + the Archangel, it was a little redundant

I like the Exalted theme here. I can see this deck playing on many different levels while fighting/blocking.

Personally, I just don't like Duty-Bound Dead it's too much to run, even though it has the exalted trigger in it, I would say remove him and bring back Silverblade Paladin

Also-maybe remove Mentor of the Meek all together, and add in some card:Inquisitor's Flail for your unblockable Tormented Soul , then bond him with the Paladin, and what that damage fly at your opponent.

Essence Harvest is easy to abuse in second main phase with an exalted deck!

+1 for the build and for the name, which I can assure you I've said at least 10 times against Exalted decks.

Man, exalted deck is pretty cool, but if you do not win the firsts rounds pretty sure you would lose because exalted has a low defense, if the guy you start attacking creatures with strong, you're not going to have to defend that.

Try Nefarox, Overlord of Grixis , and make the opponent go sacrificing some creatures, I recommend using it as a side, as against Miracle deck, and some control deck that uses the Angel of Jubilation .

Add Cathedral of War its turn exalted more powerful.

Cathedral enters tapped, so at most it would be two. I have so many exalted guys though, It's unnecessary, in my opinion. I could see myself dropping Duty-Bound Dead for Nefarox and Ajani, though. Cat tokens + nighthawks life gain, man, shit would be amazing. And the archangel gives them all exalted triggers.

You really need some removal to help clear the way. Tragic slip would come in handy on many occasions. Also, cathedral of war would be another exalted trigger that adds up pretty quick.

I had a difficult time with the mana curve. The amount is fine, but the color is not. You need more planes and less swamp.
