So when you play Mistform Ultimus you can actually go a few different routes: you can go really combo heavy, and play with lots of combos like Arcane Adaptation + Cloudstone Curio + Rooftop Storm , or go really heavy on the equipment theme with Cloak and Dagger, Obsidian Battle-Axe, Hero's Blade, Diviner's Wand, Veteran's Armaments and Inventor's Goggles, or go wild and pump him with every mono blue lord out there, or go Illusion Stompy. It's really interesting how different Mistform Ultimus decks can be, despite sharing a certain degree of core cards that are just good in any of the mentioned decks.

I decided to go in on a mixture of a tribal synergy based aggro deck, that uses enchantments like Xenograft, Arcane Adaptation and Hivestone to give my creatures the types i need them to be to hit hard and evasive.

Those enchantments can furthermore be replicated by copying them with Copy Enchantment or Clever Impersonator if need be.

As lords i chose Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign, Merrow Reejerey, Lord of the Unreal, Master of the Pearl Trident, Metallic Mimic and Adaptive Automaton (especially cool since they fit with the theme of beeing everything), Master of Waves, Paragon of Gathering Mists and Myr Galvanizer. With those i have an overall 9 lords in the deck, with 8 pumping by +1/+1 and Unesh, Cryosphinx Souvereign cutting my Commander's cost by half and Fact or Fictioning every time i play one of my "shpinx's". The other lords not only give me the stat boosts, but do have rather important side effects as well. Some of them make my creatures very hard to block, like Master of the Pearl Trident (Islandwalk), Paragon of Gathering Mists (flying) or Merrow Reejerey (by tapping blockers). Lord of the Unreal gives my creatures resilience by making them hard to target and Myr Galvanizer can untap own attackers if an opponent wants to swing in when i dont have many blockers open.

To get more of the lords i need (and keeping the sub theme of copying things) i have a few clone effects in here, namely Phyrexian Metamorph, Stunt Double, Shapesharer, Sculpting Steel, Clever Impersonator and Copy Enchantment. The last two are especially useful, since i can use them with Cloudstone Curio on the field to reset my other enchantments i have.
