My first deck was the 2015 core set Convoke deck. Wanted to see if I could perfect the mechanic.

Convoke is a strategy based around early token spamming that fuels the later high impact threats. Life points take a second place to creatures most of the time, since each one opperates akin to a land. This allows for extremely powerful spells to come out far faster than normal.

Khalni Garden is possibly the best card in the deck, offering what this deck treats as 2 mana sources for free and 1 card.

Your 1 mana creatures are critical. They will fuel a lot of the early Convoke spells and make it possible to snowball the game. Each one has built in survivability to make them resistant to removal.

The deck packs a plethora of 2 mana token spammers. Try and play the opposite color of your 1 mana starter so that you can Convoke any spell in the deck.

Devouring Light: perhaps the most questionable inclusion, it acts as an early counter to high Damage creatures that would make you lose one of your own.

Kavu Primarch: filling the very crucial role of a 4 mana Convoke creature, he can help make sure you don’t end up stalling out if you have awkward hands at the start of the game. Eventually he can become a late game threat and potentially win by becoming a massive creature.

Conclave Phalanx: is a huge boon for this deck. Able to heal up some early aggression and then stand firm as a large wall, the Phalanx can buy time for a game ending card to come out and win you the match.

Scatter the Seeds and Triplicate Spirits: the last stage before anihilation, these cards can often be spammed out a lot earlier than most people are prepared for. The spirits especially offer an aggressive option that has been difficult to pull off up to this point.

Hour of Reckoning: a board whipe that doesn’t actually hurt us very much. This spell signals the end of most opponents strategies or threats, leaving them wide open for a hoard of tokens to attack.

Overwhelm: if played properly, you’ll either clear the enemy field or take out your opponent. Hard to argue against seven 4/4 creatures swinging at you.

Leave any suggestions bellow. The deck has worked wonders for me, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be improved, and I want to hear your thoughts, good or bad. Convoke 2014 was my first deck and I’m still trying to see if I can get the deck fully optimized.
