Sideboard

Maybeboard

This deck is my own version of Mardu Vehicles. This started as a B/W Midrange deck, but it became rather obvious that this deck wants to be Aggro. This is what the first edit was looking to change. That when the deck became Mardu. This deck runs very competative for me, and I will keep the updates coming from each event I attend. All Suggestions are welcome and encouraged.

Edit: (2/28) First Change of this deck was to remove Eternal Scourge and Lost Legacy, in order to add Weldfast Engineer. This required splashing into red making the deck a Mardu build. This addition makes the deck a lot more expolsive, and a little less gimiciky.

Updates Add

The first FNM for this deck went pretty well. We had 8 people show, so only three rounds. The deck went 2-1, which I was happy with for the first outing.

Round 1: B/R Vampires This deck was a basic tribal deck, which had a combo of Uncaged Fury and Grotesque Mutation to provide double strike and lifelink to his creature to gain a bunch of life and reset the game. In game 1 I hit perfectly on curve, and was able to just steam roll our opponent. Game 2, his combo went off once and he was able to gain 30 life in one turn, and I was stuck on 2 land for most of the game. Game 3 was a race, which our removal package after sideboarding gave us the win. The round was won 2-1

Round 2: Jeskai Saheeli Shocker here! Another copycat deck lets see how this goes. In game 1 I was actually able to Lost Legacy Saheeli on turn three, but didn't see a lot of creature, and then my opponent was able to drop and Flagship, Combustable Gearhulk, and Torrential Gearhulk on turns 5, 6, and 7. That spelled the end of that game. In game 2, Authority of the Consuls came down turn 1, which spelled the end of the combo. The Scrapheap and Eternal Scourge were resilient enough to press for the win. Then in Game 3 I kept the following hand: Authority of the Consuls, 2 Thraben Inspectors, 2 Scrapheap Scroungers, 1 Heart of Kiran, and a Concealed Courtyard. Well I didn't draw a second land until turn 6, so you all can tell how this game went. The round was lost 1-2

Round 3: Grixis Improvise This round was the most competitive game of the night. This deck was built around Bastion Inventor, with an artificer tribal theme. In game 1, I was able to Lost legacy his Bastion Inventors, but didn't have enough speed on my end to apply enough pressure to outrace Maverick Thoperist. After side boarding Fumigate was a huge help. Fumigate was able to kill off two inventors, and then Avacyn and Kiran were able to finish the game. Game 3 had the same effect, I was able to fumigate two Bastion Inventors. Then the next turn Fumigate a thopterist with two thopters. Yet Again Avacyn and Kiran were able to finish the game off with added pressure from Liliana and Gideon. This round was won 2-1

Overall, three decent games. I side boarded Eternal Scourge out a lot. I will probably be looking at changing them out. They just seem to be to slow in the grand scheme, but we will see.
