Riddles —Sept. 3, 2013

The mysterious entries of Momir Vig are becoming more and more intriguing for you as find a torn page tucked away in the journal. This entry seems to be out of order, but it does confirm that there are even more pages that are missing. Knowing that this information could be important, you graft the page back into the journal in a place where it seems to make chronological sense.

There was an incident in the laboratory today. During my daily experiment on our genetically modified species of treefolk, the Woodfall Primus, it began to react violently to a cytoplast genetic-recombinant-solution. The result of its rampage was the destruction of my Gilded Lotus, a floral specimen that was comprised of a sort of living gold. The primus was later subdued and contained within its cell. Alas, I am concerned with its presence in my laboratory now. This will set me back for quite a while. However, it has given me the motivation and time to rework my project on the Acidic Slime. I suppose this will be the silver lining to the catastrophe.

Also, it seems that my unfavored guest, Prime Speaker Zegana has found her way back into my dominion. She is insistent that she stayed and continued to assist me with my work. Needless to say, I was extremely cold to her pleas and skeptical to her statements. I reminded her that she had tried to usurp my position in the guild, and for that reason I had no reason to allow her return. I ignored her... that is, until she began to grovel. I am not one to be complacent with such travesty. Still, her words began to ring some degree of truth, and her apology seemed to be earnest enough. I allowed her to return, but I am keeping an eye on her...

During today's renovations, I was visited by a planeswalker, but I was mortified when I realized it was not by my friend. Similar to Kamahl, who is now working in my lab, this planeswalker is a human of titanic size. The planeswalker called himself Garruk Wildspeaker and demanded that I tell him where he could find the planeswalker that I called my friend. Not wanting to betray my ally, I refused all information that Garruk asked of me. Driven by an unknown desperation, he became extremely aggressive towards me. Regretfully, I had to resort to violence in order to subdue him, with the assistance of Kamahl. I'm not sure what to do with this Garruk, but currently I have him detained, caged like an animal. It seems that the circumstances surrounding me are becoming more and more dire, harder to control.

Lastly, I've just noticed the rampaging Woodfall Primus has left the comments of my peers in shambles; it is unlikely I'll be able to salvage their suggestions up to today. Fortunately, I remember most of them.

Slippery Boggle! is a good tutoring card, but it does nothing for my game. I once ran Djinn of Wishes , Magus of the Future , and Lurking Predators ; while good in theory, they did little else for the deck. Now, Vedalken Mastermind has potential...

No Soul Foundry because it does little to nothing for my deck. It might slow me down rather than help me out.

I've been questioning the validity of Somberwald Sage as a card in here. Anyone have any opinions on that?
