Welcome to the Orzhov court!

Todays council meeting will be overseen by head speaker Teysa, Orzhov Scion. We have many matters to discuss today.

Without further ado, let our first vote commence, led by Brago's Representative and our Ballot Broker. And remember, it is better to vote with us, than against us!

First on our agenda we must decide to increase either death and taxes or death and torture. It is in our best interest to maintain a high Tariff on peoples entering our city. Failure to do so may mean that the peasants greed leads to our Unmaking. We propose a decree to command all unwanted swords to return to the fields, lest they be evicted from the city.

Our next item of business is in regards to maintaining the council's position of power within the city. Our agents have been at work within the city to muster up support and rid our image as corrupt councilors or droning bureaucrats. These cunning mentors have proved their worth by opening the arena, which always proves popular, with the support of the cartel, which coincides nicely to maintain our own popularity whilst we implement Kambal's Land Tax.

We must also decide to either increase the Strength or Number of our city guard. With the aid of Sram, one of our most seasoned tacticians, it is our Judgment that we should open the armory and let the enemies of our Orzhov council feast their eyes on our giant array of masterwork swords, hammers, warhammers and... Boots.

Our mystics from the east, Xun Yu, Michiko Konda, Masako, Pang Tong and Kongming, having read their prophecies and divined a strategy to herald in a new age of Orzhov immortality. It is their philosophy to send an envoy, most probably our loyal advisor Karlov, with false pure intentions to deliver a gift, to strike at the heart of our opposition with fire and lightning, to batter them down, and clamp our hold on the city even tighter!

Welcome to my first deck for the brew challenge!

My brew is an Advisor tribal list with some interesting inclusions.

The aim of the deck is to use the various effects each advisor offers and the voting cards to maintain a rough control of the game, eventually getting down some of the stronger equipment to bash out a win.

I stayed away from making the deck a "boring Teysa combo" deck as I wanted to push what I could brew and see if it could still be a fun deck to play. I think it is very flavourful and offers some interesting interactions between the cards. I believe this would be a high tier 3 deck, possibly low tier 2.
