The basic idea of the deck is to not necessarily rely on overrunning the opponent solely but to make your opponent loose life while you are gaining life.Specifically the Wayward Servant plays a crucial role in the deck as he ensures the lifeloss on the opponent's side while you gain life. In combination with cheap zombies like Carnophage (we can compensate the lifeloss) and Carrion Feeder we bring an army of corpses on the battlefield and drain the opponent's life even before having attacked a single time. As another assurance for constant creature gain we play Zombie Infestation so we create tokens and in combination with Anointed Procession we receive double the token amount! Moreover a lot of the undead can become an ever increasing danger through the activity of the Unraveling Mummy.Furthermore we play the Shepherd of Rot whose significance is out of question as he reduces the opponents life each turn with an ever growing army on our side. Additionally we can land a hit through cycling the Gempalm Polluter once we create a substantial army.Carrion Feeder, Plague Belcher and the Relentless Dead synergize perfectly as well! First we pump the Feeder with dead corpses. As the add on the graveyard the opponent looses life due to Plague Belcher's activity and whatever we need to bring back we do it through attacking with the Relentless Dead actually causing him to die or sacrefice him instead and bring back some other creatures!As the dead pile up the Diregraf Colossus can become a serious threat himself as he relies on zombies in the graveyard but simultaneously creates zombie tokens himself.At last the Lord of the Accursed pumps our zombies making them a menace (pun intended) whereas the Binding Mummy prevents any complications from artifacts or creatures to ever even happen!
