This is by far my most favorite deck!

The deck, as its name suggests, is creating the Magic-equivalent of water polo: summoning lots of giant sea creatures, handing them weapons, and putting them on horseback (or post-Kaladesh, in vehicles). The entire theme is based on the idea of how ridiculous a Shipbreaker Kraken would look holding a Loxodon Warhammer while riding a horse. In order to keep this from devolving into another mono-blue goodstuff deck, I've set up some rules for deckbuilding and modification:

• The only anthropomorphic creature allowed is the commander. This is one of the most restrictive rules I've worked with in deckbuilding. No merfolk, no wizards, no humans. Creating a decent mana curve has been a real challenge, but there are a few options out there that are still EDH-worthy.
• Minimize the use of counterspells. The goal was to avoid filling the 5 turns before the first kraken is cast with a bunch of stall. It also allows for more room in the deck for cards that are on-theme.
• Emphasize the artifact subtheme. This is the saving grace of the deck. Relying on artifact-based cards helps fill the void in the mana curve, and is as close as blue gets to an equipment theme.

While I've experimented and worked this deck over several times through the last 2 years, I'm always open to suggestions (so long as they follow the rules I've outlined above). I'm also very open to any other preposterous deck ideas like this one. I'm constantly looking for new deckbuilding challenges, and winning obviously isn't a priority for me.
