Hello and welcome to my midrange, Merfolk deck. Feel free to +1.

The deck evolved from a quick-and-fast Merfolk tribal deck into a slower, but more consistent, Simic Hadana's Climp shell. Here's 1-1 description of the individual cards:

1-drops:

4x Incubation / Incongruity

1 CMC that digs 5 cards deep and usually finds a creature sutiable for the current board. The other part of the card also comes in handy at time to remove a god, a big Jellyfish etc.

2-drops:

4x Growth-Chamber Guardian

This beast needs little explanation. A 2/2 body for 2 CMC is fine, but what makes this card special is the adapt ability. On turn 3, you'll be able to have a 4/4 pressuring your opponents AND draws you a card. Very powerful card.

4x Merfolk Branchwalker

Synergizes well with deck as it usually enters with a +1/+1 counters or draws you a land. At times, I will prefer to lead with this card instead of e.g. Growth-Chamber simply because it helps me hit my land drops.

4x Merfolk Skydiver

A 2/2 flyer for 2 CMC is great and can distribute its counter if you want to. In the more grindy matchups, the proliferate ability also comes in handy

3 drops

4x Jadelight Ranger

ETB with +1/+1 counters or draws you lands. Just a perfect card for this type of deck.

3x Shapers of Nature

A 3/3 body that can grind out matches with counter or draw abilities. Currently deciding whether it is good enough for the deck though.

4x Hadana's Climb

The essence of the deck is Hadana's Climb; either churn out counters or flips and wins with a massive flyer. I want four because they're easily flipped in a counter-specific deck and usually wins the game if it stays on board.

4 drops

4x Zegana, Utopian Speaker

A 4/4 body that draws you a card (80% of time atleast) and can grow into a powerful 8/8 if left unchecked. The addition of trample to creatures is just a small bonus but could be important take out PW's.

5 drops

2x Roalesk, Apex Hybrid

This beauty is why I reformed my merfolk deck. It instantly distributes two counters to another creature (which is mostly guaranteed to be succesful as the deck is creature-based) and is 4/5 trampling flier. It flies past Bolas, Phoenix, Shalai and thus adds a lot of pressure and yet the best part is that the opponent has no incentive to remove as it will buff up my +1/+1 counter creatures as it leaves.

X drop

3x Hydroid Krasis

The jellyfish is just a too strong card to leave out - and it's a counter-specific creature. It usually nets 1 or 2 card draws as I usually hit my land drops through Branchwalker and Jadelight and provides flying pressure.

Final Notes

I'm still developing the SB as I have no clue of the meta in my LGS with the new set and I'm still deciding whether I should add my interaction instead of being so creature-focused. In general, I find the deck very strong as it's very consistent but I would love to get some feedback.

Thanks in advance.
