My friends and I decided to do a <$15 deck and I said, "Hell, let's play a wall deck." This deck is surprisingly fast for being cheap and of course it just uses Defender Cards.

If you want to spend a little more, I would play Sylvan Caryatid to help with Mana and take out Gatecreeper Vine.

Ideally, hold on long enough to drop Overgrown Battlement and Axebane Guardian and that will give you the mana to play Colossus or Ludevic's Test Subject.

Alternately, hold on long enough to drop Assault Formation and all of sudden you can pump and attack.
