I have tested pretty much every color combination for Indomitable Creativity & I have found that Boros works the best for me. The goal is to consistently play Indomitable Creativity on turn 4 & this deck can effectively do that. The tricky part of making this deck effective was having the proper mana at turn 4 to cast Indomitable Creativity. I started with Murdu, then tried Jeski, then tried Naya. All had different pros and cons. The three red mana to cast creativity was just not attainable on a consistant basis, so I dropped to 2 colors.
Boros works great for what this deck is trying to do. Outside of Indomitable Creativity, the deck has other win-cons in Nahiri, the Harbinger & Westvale Abbey
. White gives the deck the token generation it needs. Servo Exhibition & Oath of Gideon are the best choices because they can be played before turn 4. I started with Sram's Expertise & Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, in the main set, but the token generation after turn 4 just didn't seem beneficial enough to run.
4 big boys may seem like a lot, but we have a reason for that. Cathartic Reunion & Nahiri, the Harbinger require a lot of discarding. We chose x2 Void Winnower, Kozilek, the Great Distortion, & Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger. This way, we can always hit two super beasts with Indomitable Creativity, if we're shooting for two. With this amount we can comfortably discard any big boys ,that we actually draw, while still having a couple in the deck. Since we are playing x4 Indomitable Creativity, we can also play it multiple times successfully.
Creativity gets countered? That's fine we have 4 of them. We'll sideboard in Not Forgotten next game and recycle it, while gaining another 1/1 to sac. Can't draw a Creativity for some reason? we'll ult Nahiri, the Harbinger and grab a super beast, or transform Westvale Abbey
into one. My goal was to make the deck combo, but flexible.
