To begin the Lands deck, it is important to begin with the nonland cards. Realms Uncharted can fetch lands from the deck, and almost no matter what we will get the chosen lands. Life from the Loam is of course the key to this deck like it is in so many other decks, Loam can retrieve lands that were binned by Realms Uncharted as well as revive man lands that have fallen in battle, loam can also draw cards and act as removal. Why would you not want to play Demonic Tutor , in modern more so! Sylvan Scrying can tutor for nearly any card wanted in the deck, which is definitely one of the appeals to be running lands. Spires of Orazca is an extremely powerful land, sadly Thaumatic Compass   is not a great artifact, but a single compass is needed to traverse the wilds. Rancor is great to fit onto lands making scary forces of nature, sadly the aura does fall off of lands at the end of the turn, but it then returns to our hand ready to be deployed next turn. Cradle of the Accursed is a weird manland but when paired with Life from the Loam it can create a zombie army over the course of a few turns.
