Walk up in the club like waddup don't attack me

Commander / EDH Lifegain Multiplayer Pillow Fort WUB (Esper)

This is "Walk up in the club like waddup don't attack me", or "Doing my best not to get physically beaten to death while Oloro hangs out in a chair: the EDH deck".

The idea for this deck is just to construct a fortress of artifacts, enchantments, and creatures that make the opposing players look at my field and say "yeah no thanks, I'll attack her instead." Do me a favor, and don't attack me.

So I'm using creatures like False Prophet, High Priest of Penance , and Archon of Justice to make attacking me a really poor decision, right off the bat.

I've also got the usual Crawlspace and Propaganda types to gimme that buffer and make it troublesome to consciously want to attack me. I think Dissipation Field is my new favorite thing. Unless you're swinging for lethal with your commander right away, they're going right to your hand. So please don't attack me.

Then there's the evil stuff like Evacuation and Condemn to show that I'm no pushover who just doesn't like to be attacked. I'm in it to win it. Seriously, don't attack me.

After some Exsanguinate and Sanguine Bond action, or after the rest of the board has done their jobs of widdling down life totals, it's time to swoop in for the kill. Magister Sphinx the other player with the most life, and get to work. This is where the deck is the shakiest, as it takes 2 or 3 turns of your defenses down to get it ready to switch from a pillow fort to a screeching death engine made of bald eagles on fire. Okay not quite but it gets a lil spooky.

So now that life totals are down, play a Sphinx of the Steel Wind or Phyrexian Processor. Get yourself prepped, maybe the Storm Herd can give you a hand. Act of Authority your own Silent Arbiter if you have to, because it's win-con time.

This deck is highly political, it's sorta multiplayer only, and rarely will you want to actively be attacking. The best course of action is to just watch the plays happen, protect yourself, and gain some allies through a Mortify here and there. Draw as little attention as possible, gain your life, and then finish it off in glorious fashion.

Also you'll notice the lack of Felidar Sovereign and Test of Endurance. And Exquisite Blood. Because I don't like to win on combos or win because cards say I won. That's not fun.

EDIT: As it turns out, playing EDH in practice with a ton of people, sometimes you just need to end the game. So the Sanguine Bond Exquisite Blood combo is in.

So that's pretty much it. If you have suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
