Quick look: Strong ramp cards to get our main boy out ASAP, and some low cost instants to keep people away while we work on waking Arixmethes up, and producing our big bad sea boys. Add some untap and unblockable effects, and let good ol' Arix and friends flop on your opponents. Added some draw power to help gather all the right cards at the right time.

Pemmin's Aura is a wincon with this deck. Create unlimited GREEN mana, make Arixmethes hexproof first, then flying, and give him +1/-1 until he has 21 power and 3 toughness. Swing for success! For extra security, make him unblockable in addition to flying!

Out: Swiftfoot Boots In: Rhystic Study

The classic draw engine, Rhystic study is a much needed enchantment for this deck in order to draw into the right cards for Arixmethes. I don’t fear overdrawing and pitching cards, because sometimes we get those overpowered cards on turn 5 we reallllly don’t need!

Swiftfoot boots, while a great card, just was not seeing a lot of action here. I’d use it mainly for hexproof, but that’s it. I never really needed the haste in the meta I play in. I may add it back later should something change, but I found the draw power needed more support and thus the switch was made.
