So, Norin has been pretty stagnant of the past year or so... So I decided it was time for a facelift!

I read through all of your comments and reassessed what was going on my deck... I decided to give the deck a little more "focus" if you will.

We've added more ETB effects (Goblin Assassin & In the Web of War), added some red counterspells (Red Elemental Blast & Pyroblast), added in more chaos effects (Possibility Storm), and dumped a few cards that i really loved but just weren't adding anything (So long Final Fortune & Fiery Gambit).

Price point on the deck didn't really move so that good. But with these few changes here, Norin is still annoying as ever but a bit more deadly... Can't wait to see what will happen now.

Thanks again for everyones help and let me know how your trollin decks are rollin!

Electropotence ? Annnnnnd Gratuitous Violence may be a replacement for Furnace of Rath as it limits the damage-doubling effect to creatures only? (Warstorm Surge and Electropotence both specify that the creature is the source of the damage.)

I made my own mono red burn though I went with Heartless Hidetsugu instead. deck:how-big-is-your-fwoosh Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks for the comments. I tried Electropotence before, i didn't like it. Never seemed to has 2R open when I needed to use it... plus using 2R to do one damage each time for Norin just wasn't worth it. Gratuitous Violence won't work this because there is literally no combat damage coming from this deck... it is very rare you will see me swinging with this deck... Furnace of Rath just makes the game more deadly. Its fun!

I'll take a look at your decks and see if I can think anything up.

You don't have to swing. It doesn't say "combat damage" it says creature damage. Meaning Warstorm Surge will deal double damage.

OMG!!! We have VERY similar decks lmao!! I will say that Trading Post and the land that makes and sacs goats (I cannot remember the name... something about a pasture I think) are amazing in my Norin deck! Unless of course you have Blood Moon out lol. Also Crucible of Worlds is another great card for after you have blown up lands. +1 from me and GREAT deck! Maybe one day I will put my version up but it honestly is only maybe 10-15 cards different without actually counting lol.

Springjack Pasture . Yes. That is probably a good call. I have one I should throw in. I really like Trading Post but I don't know if I can make room for it or not! Dilemma!

I did have Blood Moon in but it kept screwing me over, so I dropped that ish. Crucible of Worlds is a card I never wold have thought to put in but can see it would be great. Too bad it costs like 20 dollars cause I am flat broke right now!

I appreciate the help! Thanks! Put a copy of yours up so I can check it out!

First of all, WTF!!! I checked this deck like not even a month ago and it had about 300 views?!?!?!?!?

Anyways I saw Worldfire and wondered if you would make everyone sweat by using Worldslayer

Chandra, the Firebrand as another source to copy your Game of Chaos and other shinanigans

Can't +1 again... lol just awsome

Worldslayer was always a thought... but I honestly rarely attack creatures in this deck. Its just not made to really attack, I mean it can... but it does not it reliably... that's why Worldslayer isn't in.

Chandra would be great... I have have no idea what I would pull at this point. I have changed so much since I first started this deck and I really like where it is now.

Also yeah. Deckcycle every day man! Get them views up!

I played with a deck very similar to this one. I would lay down my awesome artifacts and enchantments and my play group would blow them up. I would suggest putting in cards like Crystal Chimes , Skull of Orm and Buried Ruin . Also cards like Reforge the Soul , Wheel of Fate , Memory Jar , and card:Teferi's Puzzle Box help you find the good enchantments you want like Confusion in the Ranks .

This is absolutely amazing. I made a chaos deck for planechase and casual magic, but the fact that you were able to do it with 100 cards is simply amazing. You sir are a god among men. +1

Thanks for all the comments dudes (and Dudettes if there are any)!

card:Teferi's Puzzle Box Is awesome, never even thought about that one! That may have to slide its way in...

Storm Cauldron is also awesome... so many awesome cards and no room.

What should I take out!

Also, in regards to card:Krark's Thumb: I know. I know. I know. It should be in there, but the deck isn't really reliant on the coin flips and that is the ONLY reason that card isn't in there. I have a playset and I want to put it in but I just feel like it'll never pay for itself.

Hey, commonhumans! I really love your deck idea. Pure chaotic fun is what I'm looking for too. Ain't no rewards for winning at EDH anyway. So here's my two cents. Goblin game has got to go. I would be laughed off the table if I played that in the local games/card/comic book shops. It's strictly to be used in domestic situations. More importantly, Worldfire has been banned since Sept. Also, you say that Norin combines with your enchantment ETB effects, but you're only playing three out of thirteen. How about Goblin Assassin , Hamletback Goliath , Blasting Station , or Minion Reflector ? I've included a Chaosphere and a Wand of Ith to add to my deck's randomness. Okay, that's it. Have fun storming the castle!

@Kristoff - Yo! Appreciate it! I have actually removed worldfire but I just havent updated it... and everyone hates goblin game (including the gamestore - but they never kicked me out!). So it stays. This deck is not built to win, its built to infuriate.

But I do like the suggestions! I'll see if I can work some in!

Tunde says... #21

@commonhumans you told me to put up a copy of my deck many moons ago... Well my lazy self finally did :P The Deck Everybody Hates - (Norin the Wary). They are very similar like I said with just a few changes. However like you told him Goblin Game is an amazingly hilarious card!! I have won 2 games because of it lol. My favorite card is Grip of Chaos though. NOBODY likes to see that come down. We actually have a catch phrase for when I play this deck with Heat Stroke . I have to yell out, "It's getting hot in this b****!!!" haha

@ Filet_O_Fist: Sadly no. Final Fortune does not target... awesome user name by the way.

commonhumans,

Mono-red EDH is always a winner in my book (+1), Vigilante Justice will give you 1 damage every time Norin enters the battlefield. If you have time please check out my mono-red burn deck Ashling's Apocalypse.
