I was watching some Game Knights CMDR when Graham(From LoadingReadyRun) played a Avatar of Hope. My first thought was, hmm that wouldn't be the worst wincon in a control deck, especially in this Modern Meta right now. And then my thoughts strayed to Grixis Shadow and the how the deck works, using cards like Thoughtseize and Street Wraith and I started thinking about how I could incorporate those cards into a control deck. And then I remembered Avatar of Hope's second ability, where, at 3 or less life, costs just . I kinda had this war with myself where on one side, the idea sounds like it could work, but on the other side, I don't particularly like playing Death's Shadow(i like having a nice comfy life total thank you) and i REALLY don't like playing control. Not only is control not my style of play, I feel like a total asshole. As you can see, eventually, my building side ran out and now this, this... monstrosity exists. I don't know if it will be any good, especially in competitive, but you have value in cards like Arguel's Blood Fast   and Dismember, control in cards such as Logic Knot and Thoughtseize and a whole bunch of Card Draw/Advantage and a lot of life loss effects, which you need of course to have a Death's Shadow and trigger Avatar of Hope.
