Intangible Virtue would be a great card, unfortunately I do not own it. I am also looking to trade for another Voice of Resurgence and Advent of the Wurm . Once I obtain those then I will stark looking for othet cards.

Selesnya Charm is really great at dealing with fatties, at least try it on the sideboard. Also I couldn't help but think of bioshock infinite when I read your title.

I agree with Grand. Avacyn would be a sweet bomb in this deck. And Parallel Lives in a heartbeat.
May 14, 2013 8:17 p.m.
This decks Aggo damage makes even Emmara Tandris pointless, just because of her CMC of 7. Given this decks ability to regularly deliver 20 combat damage points by turn 5 a good replacement would have a CMC of 5 or less. Trostani, Selesnya's Voice would be the ideal replacement as it is a 4 CMC with a decent toughness and the ability to populate.
May 14, 2013 8:24 p.m.
-2 Emmara +2 Trostani-3 growing ranks +3 parallel lives-4 Wake +2 rootborn +2 loxodon
I know the loxodon isn't token producing, but you are low on creatures if populate misfires, plus he is super efficient. As others have said parallel lives is way better (in my playtesting).

I would definitely suggest replacing Wake the Reflections with Rootborn Defenses . Gaze of Granite for X=0 would leave you with NO tokens to populate with. The instant speed and indestructibility from Rootborn Defenses is well worth the 2 extra mana.
May 19, 2013 12:19 p.m.
I would definantly take out the wake the reflections for rootborn defences, as it was said above giving your creatures indestructibility not only helps you survive wraths better but also can blow your opponent out in combat, also i would add eyes in the skies because it is not only instant speed, but worst-case-scenario, you get two flyers. also selesnya charm is key because in the early game it is a token and in the late it is removal or it gives trample to win the game. i am not sure how effective doomed traveler is because i have not playtested him, but i like that idea.
May 20, 2013 8:18 a.m.
I am open to suggestions to replace Doomed Traveler . I will explain why he is present. He comes out turn on. Anytime you have something on the field and your opponent dose not, you have a combat advantage, and having more creatures out benefits Wayfaring Temple on turn 3. Chump blocking allows for flying token which is my only solution to flyers. Putting Rancor on Doomed Traveler makes it a formidible foe early in the game and may force your opponent to focus on killing him, giving you the token you need to populate.

Other than Wake the Reflections , I really like your mainboard. The sideboard, however, I feel needs some work. Why is Cathedral of War in there? Two exalted trigger sources won't really do much, and more often than not you'll be wanting to swing with more than one creature. Same with Selesnya Guildgate . If you feel you HAVE to put a land in your SB, maybe throw in a Gavony Township . I would also take out Emmara Tandris . Consider replacing her with Collective Blessing . It costs one less mana, makes all your creatures that much harder to remove, and turns everyone into fatties for the late game. Intangible Virtue might even be a better option (would require playtesting), and since it's an uncommon it shouldn't be hard to get your hands on at some point. At the very least, Intangible Virtue would be an upgrade from Phantom General . Selesnya Charm s would be an excellent addition, too, like someone said before. +1!
May 20, 2013 11:49 a.m.
I really like the idea of Gavony Township in my sideboard. Phantom General is gonna be harder to part with because it ends up giving Wayfaring Temple +2/+2. As soon as I own a decent replacement for Emmara Tandris she is out. I am kind of obsessed about keeping this deck mana balanced so I like the idea of sideboarding Selesnya Charm especially because I already own 3. What dose everyone think of Alive / Well ? I have 4x of those.
May 20, 2013 5:34 p.m.
in exchange for the doomed traveler i would put in avacyn's pilgrim, getting your fatties out a turn earlier could be a little more deadly than getting the flier to populate. Phantom general also only gives wayfaring tempe +1/+1 because it only buffs tokens. also alive and well is good as maybe a two of, maybe a third if you are really ambitious but it is more of a thragtusk that gains an undefined amount of life and cuts straight to the token to populate. Actually maybe four. also scion of vitu-ghazi is all value.
May 20, 2013 9:35 p.m.
I kinda like the idea of Doomed Traveler so you have at least one source of flying tokens to populate if need be. But if you're going to replace it with a mana dork, I would definitely go for Arbor Elf over Avacyn's Pilgrim . Avacyn's Pilgrim can only produce white, but Arbor Elf can untap your Temple Garden s to produce both white and green, as well as your basic Forest s. But since nothing in your main deck has a cmc > 4, I don't know that it's necessary.
May 21, 2013 12:07 a.m.
I'm almost 100% sure that Arbor Elf , is unable to untap Temple Garden . It specifically says to untap target forest, which i don't think can be substituted by anything else. I prefer to use Avacyn's Pilgrim , because he adds to your mana pool rather than untap a land. Say you're on turn 3 with 3 lands out and you have something you want to play for 4 mana. If you have a pilgrim out you can cast it, but with an elf, all you could do is play something for 2 or 3,then untap one of the ones you used for another 1 or 2 drop. With the pilgrim you have the option of doing both of those scenarios.
May 22, 2013 2:19 p.m.
Temple Garden is not a basic land, but it does have a land type of forest AND plains. So, for example, you can use Farseek to search for a Temple Garden , because you are searching for the keyword "Plains", and an Arbor Elf can untap a Temple Garden because it is both a "forest" and a plains. And Alechilles's example is also incorrect. You can do the same thing with the Arbor Elf as you can with the Avacyn's Pilgrim (assuming you control a forest of some type, of course). If you have 3 lands, you can tap all 3 to add 3 mana to your mana pool, untap one with the Arbor Elf , and then tap that land again for a total of 4 mana in your pool before you cast whatever 4cmc spell you want. Arbor Elf with Temple Garden is just more flexible than an Avacyn's Pilgrim . Note, though, that Arbor Elf can't untap a Sunpetal Grove .
May 22, 2013 4:46 p.m.
the only reason that i would chose pilgrim of elf is because to play the elf you need green in the first place, so as far as colors go pilgrim compleates your colors while elf does not unless you have a temple garden that is, also say that you don't have a forest but still have the elf, it is now rendered useless because it has nothing to untap(say you used sunpetal grove or guildgate to get it out) pilgim just seems to be a little more consistant in my opinion.
May 22, 2013 6:52 p.m.
So after looking around on the internet since this Arbor Elf thing is confusing me, It does look like you can untap Temple Garden with it, which quite frankly does not make any sense to me. Sorry for the false information though. So I guess the subtype "forest plains" is what allows arbor elf to work on it? Since it said "target forest" I thought it meant literally only a Forest card.
Thanks for the valuable information on that, because I was apparently completely wrong. haha

I want to play test this deck at Friday night magic on the 25th. However, it is me and my fiancees anniversary, so I need a good excuse to go. Help needed!
May 23, 2013 10:55 a.m.
You should probably not go. lol. Seeing as you're apparently getting married soon and all, she'd probably be a bit mad if you left on your anniversary to play a card game. haha.
May 23, 2013 11:30 p.m.
This is my first deck that has a change of winning a sanctioned magic event. It is a difficult decision to make.
May 24, 2013 2:49 p.m.
I was planning on going to a an FNM yesterday, but I didn't go because I had a math final the next day (AKA Today). I won't have another Thursday available to go until late June. (The local place does FNM on Thursday for whatever reason. haha) It would have been my first tournament, but oh well. Priorities I guess. haha.
