So, this is my last deck idea, or at least my last good deck idea. This list started like an Abzan Knights list, strictly speaking. But since History of Benalia is still quite expensive I drifted from the "all Knights" theme. Thanks to the comments of other users about this deck, this looks more like a go-wide Abzan deck, with stuff like Oketra's Monument and Shanna, Sisay’s Legacy. At some point this deck had more legendary creatures, and an Historic payoff in Teshar, Ancestor’s Apostle. But after some testing I found out that it turned out to be inconsistent, either due to the low repetition of creatures, or the manabase, which was fairly spread between the three colours and wasn't ideal. So I took out card: Kwende, Pride of Fermef and Teshar, Ancestor’s Apostle. I also cut Heart of Kiran, in that, most of times the Knights got blown out, and I ended up with an uncrewable vehicle! :/
I also realised during testing that the nut draws involved Oketra's Monument and Shanna, Sisay’s Legacy. So basically I focused more on going wide, I added Pride Sovereign, and because of that, also Adorned Pouncer. Then Song of Freyalise and Shalai, Voice of Plenty got so much better!
So, late game, the objective is the same, to have a Shalai, Voice of Plenty and abuse its ability to put counters a bazillion counters. I think Song of Freyalise is a really good card for this reason, specially with the Monument and the Vigilant warriors, in that it helps you get to six mana (some times even twelve for two activations) and also helps with counters and big swing and beat wholesale ass. Finally, a recent addition is Josu Vess, Lich Knight, which I think it has to be fairly easy to cast with its kicker cost with the Song, but still hasn't come up in a game, we'll see.
Differently to the previous versions, Black is more like a splash now, for removal and stuff like Josu Vess, Lich Knight late game. I'm not playing Winding Constrictor for that reason in part. Also I don't own them, and they are rotating relatively soon, so... yep. Those are the reasons. It might be wrong though :)
