I'm thinking about splashing to play The Scorpion God. It's a mess, most precisely the quantity of cards, but it should look roughly something like that.

Some choices explained

Cycling : I decided to go with 4x Archfiend of Ifnir and 3x Stinging Shot/ Dissenter's Deliverance because here, cycling is used solely for triggering Archfiend of Ifnir (and combo with Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons). Now considering the odds of having an Archfiend of Ifnir turn 5, these cards seem to be enough.

Trial of Strength and Cartouche of Ambition : I went with Trial of Strength in the mainboard because if there's too much -1/-1 counters triggering creatures in your hand on turn 3, a Beast 4/2 token and the possibility of making more of them by returning a trial to your hand with a cartouche seems more interesting. Considering Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Cartouche of Ambition is strictly better than Cartouche of Strength, also lifelink is more interesting.

Honored Hydra : a 6/6 Trample that can be cast back later for is a good finisher in my book. Also, I really love the card on its own really, that's just it.

Sideboard

• Switch x3 Trial of Ambition with Trial of Strength against creature-heavy decks.
• Switch x3 Dissenter's Deliverance with Stinging Shot against artifac/no flying decks.
• Switch x2 Hapatra's Mark with Shed Weakness if you feel like it.
