Hey guys, welcome to my deck. Great news, I broke elves in Oathbreaker. If you want to find out how then keep reading :)

The deck is piloted by Vivien, Champion of the Wilds and features Chord of Calling as the signature spell. Our goal is to use tribal elf mechanics to produce a ton of mana and alpha strike our opponents.

How do we do this? Simple.

  1. get a big-mana dork on the board - this is Priest of Titania, Marwyn, the Nurturer or Elvish Archdruid. we can get them on the board easily with our tutor spells or searching for them with Viv's ability if we did not start/draw one at the start of the game

  2. get Quirion Ranger online and then get Wirewood Symbiote online. We can use Chord of Calling to tutor for each card in this order. Since we have a lot of creatures and our dorks produce big mana, we can afford to cast chord over and over, even with the additional commander tax it costs each time. First, we grab Quirion Ranger, use him to untap our big-mana dork (priest of titania, marwyn or elvish archdruid), chord again into Wirewood Symbiote and untap our big-mana dork, then activate symbiote returning quirion to hand, casting quirion again, untapping the dork and casting chord again to......

  3. get Ezuri, Renegade Leader or God-Eternal Rhonas on the field for a mass-pump effect

  4. alpha strike for the win! ---- with all the mana we have floating in our pool we can activate ezuri many times and even search for rhonas once ezuri is already online. Quite often we can get creatures to 40/40 or 80/80 or even 100/100 by turn 4 with a good hand, and from there we just shoot to kill

Here's some additional thoughts on the deck and why I think it's as good or better than elves in other formats

-viv gives us flash so we are impervious to control. we can do everything at end steps once opponents have made their moves, giving us an advantage in matchups

-viv is also only a 3cmc pw which means we can get her online t2 reliably with a mana dork which gives us tempo advantage in matchups

-oathbreaker is a 60 card singleton format. this is perfect for elves because there's enough high-value elves to make a 60 singleton deck, whereas in commander the archetype is slightly diluted, and in modern/legacy elves has to compete against decks that have 4x other cards such as high quality hand removal, permission and destroy spells

-if you can't go the original gameplan for a huge early-game alpha strike, the deck is intuitive and resourceful enough to take alternative modes to get to a win since it has a lot of tribal value and can tutor for resources easily

-elves are badass and this build is very cheap compared to other alternatives with expensive lands and planeswalkers

Anyway, hope you enjoyed my deck - please upvote so it's more visible to others on tappedout :)
