A much needed update! —Feb. 24, 2017

Change is finally here, and I'm happy with the results so far.

The less than reliable Skin Invasion  Flip has been sent to the sideboard in favor of a mainboarded Authority of the Consuls. Authority slows down vehicle decks and leaves a bigger opening for me to hit with my not-to-evasive creatures, while giving some much needed lifegain.

Stone Quarry was terrible anyway, and has been replaced with Evolving Wilds, to help with both balance AND delirium.

Inspiring Vantage has gone in for good fast land early, or a discard outlet for Tormenting Voice and delirium triggers later.

In the sideboard, the over-priced Ironwright's Cleansing has come out for the much more cost effective Fragmentize.

I'm still testing these changes out, and open to more suggestions. As it stands, I feel it still feels like an Eldritch Moon deck primarily, with humans transforming into unspeakable horrors, and the few Kaladesh block cards haven't shifted that focus too much.

Thank you for checking out my deck!

A nice boros budget build, imo. Just one question- why no Incendiary Flow? And also, I noticed you also used Extractor of Sin- I'm trying to make a standard deck that abuses it's ETB to get the 3/2- can you think of any good cards in standard that are 1-2 mana that could help me make an expendable permanent? My immediate thought was Blisterpod, but aside from that, I can't seem to find much. Oath of Chandra also works, but is a bit too reliant on my opponent playing a creature. Suggestions?

Thanks Midexin, I noticed I didn't have enough Sorcery and Artifact spells to really get Delirium flowing, so I did add the card you suggested (and a few more), thanks!

I included Terrarion for exactly the reason you just mentioned!

I can sac it with Extractor of Sin, and draw a card, AND put an artifact in my graveyard. -or- if I'm unlucky, and get no Extractors, I can make it self-sacrifice, fix some mana, draw a card, and still put an artifact in my graveyard for delirium.

Win-win!

Some people are forced to wait for Eldritch Moon to make decks, you pull it off effortlessly. Love this deck, so many puns to me made!

From what I can see, your deck really takes off at turn 3, maybe turn 2. Now, not knowing how this deck plays, I still suggest a few turn 1 options. Thraben Inspector is a great first turn play as it brings out a card draw mechanic for late game and is an easy card to sac for Extractor of Sin. Another card you might want to consider Town Gossipmonger  Flip as an aggressive choice. I notice all your creatures are humans, so Thalia's Lieutenant could work wonders for your creatures. To add more life-gain, consider Lantern Scout for your deck. Great non-creature spells could be Always Watching or Declaration in Stone. I realize these cards are from sets other than Eldritch, and feel free to completely ignore this if it doesn't go with what you want your deck to be. Hopefully this helped and if you are considering adding cards I would look at human based decks to find cards. Really nice deck and very creative.

How about Contorted Alliance? It seems to fit the bill for Delirium, but while it isn't quite as aggressive as your deck, I believe it holds a bit more staying power into the later game.

I like the deck :) but maybe a bit fix on the land base? A playset of Battlefield Forge maybe good and may need more plains than mountain

I'd like to add the Battlefield Forge, but I'm keeping this in the SOI/EMN block.

You're right on the Mountain/Plains balance, I thought I fixed that when I added the SOI cards, nice catch Snow586, and thanks for the feedback!

I think you should drop the 3x Desperate Sentry and put in 3x thalia. 3CMC for a 1/2 is garbage.

Noctem, The Desperate Sentry are there for the 3/2 Eldrazi you get so you can spare Otherworldly Outburst to get 2. I do agree Thalia would be a good addition though.

I understood the purpose behind it, but the problem I have with it is simply that you're paying 3CMC for a 1/2 body. I would rather put down a 3/2 first striker that also causes my opponent to not be able to play on curve in this kind of deck. Might be down to personal preference perhaps.

Don't forget that I am playing to achieve delirium. A 4/2 that comes back as a 3/2 is nothing to sneeze at. I do like Thalia, and will try fit it.

Ultimately, Desperate Sentry fits the mythos and character of Hanweir, the Writhing Township.

I too like this deck and may have to try building it, I was lucky enough to pull a Hanweir Battlements as a promo card during pre-release.

That's a lucky pull wedge22! Now get that matching Hanweir Garrison!

+1 from me, really dig the build, I just finished putting something together with hanweir garrison myself and the card is absolutely insane with Thalia's Lieutenant, I just haven't figured out what I want to throw in the S/B yet. Here's mine if you want to check it out Reckless Humans

I'd recommend adding in Hope Against Hope. Play on Thalia's Lieutenant and pump +2/+2 for each Human cast and get First Strike. Play on another human and get essentially a second Thalia's Lieutenant with First Strike.

great deck Panzerforge but do you really need Terrarion ?

July 21, 2016 5:58 a.m.

I do, CuzImYourLastHope, so I can sac it with Extricator of Sin, draw a card, put a 3/2 Eldrazi Horror on the battlefield, and count an artifact towards delirium.

July 21, 2016 7 a.m.

you do cuz youre my last hope haha, thats a legit scentence right there. also youre right, i didnt think this through.
