"Loss has no meaning here. You cannot take from those who have nothing."

A Grixis spellslinger deck that focuses on stringing copy effects together to burn opponents out. Extra utility is afforded by library hate cards like Slaughter Games, and Sadistic Sacrament allowing you to scalpel apart key pieces of an opponent's deck before they've even had a chance to reach them. Kess herself then lets you do this again. If you have problematic decks in your meta that win off the back of single cards, it might behoove you to consider these cards.

The deck plays primarily control, gaining incremental value out of unassuming draw spells. Divination may be underwhelming next to all the draw spells you could have had, but since hitting the table it and its functional reprints, Counsel of the Soratami, and Consult the Necrosages have failed to disappoint.

There are, additionally, a plethora of options for modifying the deck to different themes. Pseudo-Prowess creatures like Nivix Cyclops or Young Pyromancer can make the deck surprisingly aggressive while the storm combo potential of Grixis needs no one to sing its praises.

This deck, was built on a fair budget but certainly a budget and it performs excellently for the price.
