ABOUT "VINTAGE BASICS"

This deck is part of the "Vintage Basics" series.

This series is meant to bring back the joy of kitchen table Magic with pre-made, 60-card decks featuring some of the classic cards from the early 2000s. Each deck is designed to play well with others from the series, provide a lot of variance and surprisingly deep gameplay. Most importantly, each of these decks is cheap and can be easily acquired in bulk.

BLACK

In a classic black fashion, this deck combines elements of creature revival, sacrifice and self-harm. Cards such as Zombify and Phyrexian Delver serve to bring back some of your dead creatures, including beaters such as Phyrexian Gargantua and Fallen Angel. The latter supports the second theme - sacrifice - to get some use of the creatures you no longer need. Finally, chase down your opponent with Barbed Wire and Darkmor Plague to achieve mutually assured destruction - only theirs will be a bit quicker.

NOTE: This is a prototype list which can and probably will be changed as playtests continue.
